What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I think most of the following quotes are from about a week ago. So sue me; I've been busy! :rolleyes:🤓

That knife continues to improve with age, John; I hope the same is true of you personally! :thumbsup::thumbsup:🤓
I also really like the "setting", and I'll bet "knife on a knot" shots will be trending on BF very soon!

Your jigged wood toothpick is phenomenal, Tim! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Some photos from the last few day,all sorts of unexpected things happened.

I didn’t expect to run around an orchard with an Italian Chica,be given special access to motorbikes not on display at a museum and exotic cars,nor to handle WW2 weapons.
Like the MG34,Thompson smg,Stick grenades,flame flowers etc.

Sounds like you had mostly good surprises! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:
Thanks for continuing to post photos from your trip. They often spark good memories of my daughter and I traveling around Spain almost 8 years ago. Did you happen to make it to Denia on the coast in the map you posted? My daughter spent a semester in Denia as part of a college program, and she took me there several years later. I was amazed that we would go out in the evening to participate in the evening paseo, walking along the main streets of Denia, and my daughter would almost always run into people who remembered her from her previous time there.
That slice of tortilla looks delectable - my favorite food while I visited Spain. Hot, cold, in a sandwich, always tasty!
I bought my daughter an Arcos kitchen knife at a cuchilleria in Valencia.
That young woman looks like she would be a pleasant traveling companion (unless she insisted that you wear clothing that matched hers o_O).

Mad very scary ride into Valencia last night,more scary than driving into Sarajevo under fire.
There was one loon standing in the middle of a massive intersection juggling as cars went past at speed,I was told it’s nothing unusual.
I had my 77 in my pocket.

When my daughter and I tried to take a cab from the Valencia bus station to our hotel, the driver told us he could only get us within about 3 blocks of the hotel because he wouldn't be able to get through the crowd forming for a King's Day Eve parade (must have been January 5). After we left the cab, we had to drag our bags with us through the street packed with revelers!

A lamb big-un and a vintage Case. 😃

That lamb would light my lamp, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
I hope you're recovering quickly from the bout with COVID you fought recently!

Thank you, Gary! I am impressed by Bruckmann knives.
:cool::thumbsup::cool:

🤣

Thanks Gary :D
That Old Hickory was just released by Ontario. The first kitchen knife that I ever felt any affinity for was an Old Hickory, so it was a given that I'd have try out the folder. Its like OH's kitchen knives. Cheap, a little crude, stout, made in the U.S.
Here it is with a Sodbuster Jr.

My original Old Hickory. It was in a house I was renting with three other guys in Hancock, Michigan circa 1980. I liked it so much I absconded with it when I moved 🥷

Thanks for the extra info on that Old Hickory folder, Mike; intriguing! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks Gary, as a retired sailor I’d say I’m definitely biased.
🤓:thumbsup::thumbsup:

A pair of oldies today:

Notable pair, Rachel; I especially like that Morley! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Professor!
My brain is freely wandering the past, but my knees are trending toward geezerhood. 🤨
A wide-ranging brain sounds good, but geezerly knees are the pits, Jeff. All the walking I've done during the pandemic has seemed to been very beneficial for my previously-balky knees.

The view from our TV-room last evening as the sun was setting and shining on the hill behind our house after a light rain.

Exquisite ebony whittler! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Toting these two thrifty 1930s Imperial-Hammers. :)
Cracking some ice with a pair of Hammer brands, JJ - doesn't get much better than that! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Single spring, probably 1940s, all steel furniture. I really like carrying this knife; I even take it out of me pocket and admire it. Very slicy, a bit tired.View attachment 1938279View attachment 1938280View attachment 1938281
W😲W! That's a vibrant vintage knife!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I like those two Gary, those Sodbusters are great users :thumbsup:

Thanks, Jack. :) The Chinese Imperial Sodbuster Jr. is one of my least expensive knives, but it's at least as good as any other small sodbuster I have.
Your black/red combo is superb! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I’m sorry about that. I am doing well because the brunt of the storm hit a couple hours south of me. I did lose power but am up on generator power now. My dogs have required a lot of attention all day.
I do appreciate yours and others thoughts. Let’s hope others made out as well as I have so far.
Glad you are safe. I am sure the pups did need extra attention. Now it is just a matter of staying safe and keeping others around you safe.

My wife has decided that "we" are going to refinish this old chair. And by "we" I've discovered she meant me.

In my opinion these two are at the top of the list of perfect daily carry knives. Between these two and your choice of Buck/case stockman. You really don't need anything else.

...which I say as I look at my towering assortment of knives

Thank you Jack - Mr. Winston is the nephew of "Sadie" - Sadie was the 2010 overall champion of Westminster...Win cleans up pretty well too...:)
Wow, that's quite a pedigree Dave :cool: :) :thumbsup:
Have a new pair with me today. Happy Wednesday!

Wonderful image of your Hartshead Barlow trusty companion; one super cool slicer! 😃 :cool: 👍👍

I grabbed this handy TL-29 and a beefy Buck for today. :)
Many thanks JJ, it looks like you mean business with that solid pair of workers :cool: Love the big Buck :) :thumbsup:
End of day entry, two of Charlie's...

I hope you're recovering quickly from the bout with COVID you fought recently!
Thanks buddy, I only tested positive on Sunday, it's just been like flu, so not at all pleasant, but no worse than that thankfully :thumbsup:
Thanks, Jack. :) The Chinese Imperial Sodbuster Jr. is one of my least expensive knives, but it's at least as good as any other small sodbuster I have.
Your black/red combo is superb! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
They have always been a great buy Gary, I've bought dozens of them in both black and yellow :) Thank you very much my friend :) :thumbsup:
