What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Case stockman today.

I hope you get completely well soon, Jack, with none of the lingering symptoms that have afflicted so many victims!
Thank you very much my friend, my sense of taste is affected, and I'm still feeling a bit weak, but hopefully I've escaped lightly :)
Thanks, Jack; they're certainly benchmarks in my knife life. :)
Carrying an HHB, a GEC moose, and a Buck 110 is certainly an enjoyable way to do your strength training!:thumbsup::cool:
Thanks buddy, I'm trying to get in shape again :D ;)
Thanks for the historical insights on NAAFI knives, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:
Superb double stag for you!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
THanks again Gary :)
Another fascinating engine number on your train calendar! Did you notice that the last 2 digits are 5 times the first 2 digits (65 = 5x13) AND that the first 3 digits are double the last 2 digits (130 = 2x65). Furthermore, those two "facts" are related ( 2x65 = 2x(5x13) = 10x13 = 130)! 🤓o_O🤓
I didn't actually notice that at all! 🤣
Thanks, Jack. :)
I wish that's what they called my wife and me. 🤓
😂
I might have guessed a small knife like that came from Mickey Rooney or Mickey Mouse!🤓
😁

Sublime pair  :)
Off to see the doc for my annual physical. Oops, excuse me. My Annual Medicare Wellness Check®️. 🙄

I like to have fun with the innane questionnaire the bureaucrats require…

“Do you feel safe at home?” ~ my wife said to say yes

“Do you have trouble paying for your medications and food?” ~ Well, have you seen the prices of new GECs lately?

“Have you had enough to eat today?” ~ Ask the nurse who checked my weight!”

“Do you need a place to sleep tonight?” ~ Thanks for the offer, but I don’t think so, Mrs Fleschwund says “nothing’s happened yet.”

To cut down on my scale reading, I left the Canadian Belt Knife at home, but since either of these weighs more, it didn’t help…View attachment 1948878View attachment 1948879
My best friend, Manny, is usually confined to the fenced back yard, so he loves to go out front with me when I take out the garbage, or go out to take my What Traditional Knife Are Ya Totin photos.
This morning, this clump of walnuts smacked onto the driveway right next to him, and gave him a good startling.View attachment 1948880
The nuts are so thick this year, that the tree rats have called for reinforcements.

The piano dismemberment continues. Yesterday, with my wife’s help, we got the 300 pound cast iron plate out into the front yard, and into my garden cart. Today, I need to wrestle the 300 pound soundboard and frame out to the burn pile. I’ve saved the nicer veneered panels to make shelves, and the few small pieces that are actually solid mahogany, but the inner workings are fascinating…View attachment 1948881

Y’all have a great Tuesday, ok?
LOL! :D Hope it went well Jeff, no problem with your sense of humour my friend :)
PLastic for the new retinologist, now back to Greensleeves bone.
They did some new things to me, but the news is favorable.

Beautiful pairing Steve :)
I just got these back from the VERY talented @glennbad. So I've been carrying both of them today, lol. I'm sure it won't come as a surprise to anyone, but he did an exceptional job! As one could expect from such an old material, the mammoth ivory in particular is very brittle/fragile.

This one is a Solingen made Boker barlow sporting mammoth ivory covers, integral bolsters, and damascus forged by Chad Nichols out of steel from a WW2 M4 Bradley tank! Also pictured is another BEAUTIFUL sheath by our very own @sbh06. Thanks Jeremy!

Next is a 2017 BladeForums GEC TC Barlow with K&G stabilized redwood burl covers. :D I just wasn't feeling the original covers to be honest... And since 2017 was a little before I officially joined the forum, it felt a little less painful to swap the covers, lol.

You're definitely 'Mr Fancy Pants' today my friend :D

Thank you very kindly, Jack!!! I did make it out the other side! :);)

It looks like you've got a lovely "Double-Double" today; two Lambs both wearing stag is very tough act to follow! 😃👍👍

Toting my two favorite trappers for another Tuesday. :)
That's good to hear JJ! :D Thank you very much, I never get tired of seeing those two terrific Trappers  :)
Thank you Jack. Your double Lambsfoot carry is ruggedly handsome. 👍

Seems like I have been going from one outdoor maintenance project to another, since I finished the porch work for my son. Needs to be done before cold weather sets in for good. I get one thing done and see two more things that need to be done. The mornings have been quite cool lately, starting out in the mid to upper 30's and struggling to make it to 70 degrees. For this Wednesday, a couple of wood handled knives seemed appropriate. 😊
