Thanks Jack, the same can be said for your stags today. 🔥🔥🔥
Many thanks Jeremy :)
Took this photo after lunch, took a day off from a teacher’s workshop. After 32 years, if I don’t know what I’m doing yet, I never will! 🤣View attachment 1952308

Remington Rand 1911?

Zieg
Yes sir. From the CMP 1911 program. I was lucky enough to get a RR slide and frame, even though the barrel is a later replacement and there are a few new parts in it. Anyone who has been looking for a 1911A1 should act quick. CMP extended their deadline to order a 1911 in Round 3.

Knife thread.

some very fine emery paper will smooth it a little,it looks like a knife like that should look.

I’ve already smoothed it up with a touch from the 600 grit belt on the sander and a scotch brite pad. It’s not so bad, but I never am thrilled about dropping knives on concrete. At least it wasn’t a blade tip or bone crack.

LT Wright stag small fixed blade. Found a thicket of arrow wood viburnum in the middle of the woods, cut some straight shoots to make arrows.
After the shoots season for about 5 months I'll remove the bark, reduce to proper diameter and straighten with heat. They make good, durable primitive style arrows.
