That mark looked familiar to me and with a quick search, I found this …

Apparently it is the flag of The Isle of Mann …
which has me curious about what the flag of The Isle of Womann might look like …
😶
The Triskelion is a very old design 🙂👍
Now that you mention it , Ed, I recall seeing that flag and reference.
I've certainly posted it here before Gary 🙂👍
Thanks Pal. :)

That's a really nice one Dwight 😎 I send Charlie Isle of Man/Triskellion trinkets and coins when I come across them 🙂 Maybe I should visit sometime, I've never been 👍

Besutiful, Dwight.
Thank you Jeff. Both of those are courtesy of glennbad glennbad the magic modder.

Thanks Jack. I know it dates in the 1700's. Oh how I would love to be there for the TT races.

That's pretty old Dwight 😎 Yes, I used to want to go when I was younger, and had bikes myself. Most of my old biker pals have been a few times 👍

Wow! Cool tankard, and a great pic! 😎👍
Many thanks, Jack!

Had occasion to visit the Isle of Man a few times some years ago. Stayed in Douglas and looked out at the sea -- absolutely beautiful. Also had the chance to drive (in a car) parts of the TT course -- I can't even imagine watching that event live and in person! And then, from time to time, there was the occasional pub visit... ;) 🍻

I have a friend whose wife's folks live there (I can't remember if she is Manx or not), and they visit every year. I've lost count of the number of times I've asked him to bring me some coins back! 🙄😁 It sounds like a nice place to visit 🙂👍

I’ve never liked mushrooms much (maybe I just haven’t tried the right ones), but I always love seeing pictures of them like that.

Thanks. I've that from quite a few people. Is it the texture? I like how versatile they are. You can use them for soup, sauces, scrambled eggs, you can pickle them and the parasols you can batter and fry like a wiener schnitzel. I'm sure there's many other ways to use them as well. But yeah, they're not everyone's thing.

Thanks Pal. :)

Fantastic wood re-covers on those two and an interesting coin.

Years ago when I was an ado, had an interest in coin collecting and had a Crown piece (25 p) with a representation of the other thing The Isle of Man is famous for, namely its unique Cat.

Close friend of mine has one of these and she despairs of him sometimes, he never stops eating and... he's an enormous size but agile despite the absence of a tail. just a stump.
