Good to "see" you my friend for the first time
Thanks Dan, good thing I had my dress clothes on! 🤣
Baking some " Pain au Levain " so I thought that carrying my French Laguiole would be the perfect choice for today.
Hope to post pics of the finish product late tonight :)

Beautiful knife Dan, I can almost smell the bread. 😎👍

Now that’s quite a pair! Based on a recent exchange listing (which likely resulted in some infractions for folks who couldn’t resist the urge to use the laughing emoji reaction), you might want to carry that #77 in a locked briefcase handcuffed to your wrist. 😉😁

Thanks, Barrett! I saw that as well 🤣. I assure you this one didn't come off of ebay, nor did it cost anywhere near that!

I've been carrying this knife since September 23rd!! It has helped with the daily apple, and road snacks!!
We left for my Granddaughter's wedding Sept 23rd, came home October 4th, got Covid, and I have been carrying it in my robe!!
We are almost all better!! It's been a stalwart!! 😉View attachment 1960078
Great news Charlie :) Not a bad-looking knife either ;) :D
Excellent pairing Greg :)
Those two look good together :)
Thanks a lot, Jack!!! :)

A superb Barlow pairing for your Sunday, Jack; I hope you've had a great day! ;)👍👍

I've been toting these two spear jacks today. :)
Many thanks JJ, what a fantastic way to start your week, with those two nicely-matched lovelies :) I hope you have a good one my friend :)
Thanks Jack, I need to do that more often. 😎👍
I hope you get the chance Todd :)

Have a good week folks :) Starting mine with my Hartshead Barlow, and a friction folder by Tod Cutler

First of can I say a big thank you to whoever has turned me gold,I have no idea how you did it or who you are,but you cheered me up no end.

THANK YOU

All of these old uns I bought at the show yesterday.

Its lovely, mild and sunny this morning.

Sitting in the sun giving everything a wash and brush up is enjoyable and relaxing.

I use a mild brass brush for spark plugs,Folded fine emery paper between the liners and fold a small piece into a box shape for the inner face of the back spring.

Flush out with a garden hose then drying in the sun.

Next metal polish and oil.

The Camilus as the tip of the opener missing so hoping a little clean and sharpen on whats left will work.
My first ever Camilus,it looks like a great camp knife to me.

Cleaned of the burs on all the drivers, interesting to compare the TL 29 (superb condition) to the English version.

The CJ Barlow I was offered twice the price I paid on the spot,I was talking to a interesting collector who had a vast knowledge (he was like the Brummie Jack Black).
I said to him if I sold it to him it would be the same price,if he had said he had been looking for it for years I would have given it to him.
His brother told me he had unbelievable collection.

"Chas if you are looking in I hope you will join the forum".

These are all in good working order and ready to use,I am surprised which ones I am favouring straight away.

It was a brilliant show, it was to much to take in,my wallet was literally empty at the end of the day.
But I cant stop thinking about the ones I didnt buy, I needed a bigger wallet and a pickup truck 😆
