What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you and nice pic of your HHB. I was expecting a squirrel to jump out of that hole in the tree. 😁

Lol - I think I saw eyes in the back of that black hole. 🤣

If a squirrel had reached out and raked it in the hole, it might have been holler to the ground. I can imagine Mr. Jack out there with a chainsaw, trying to retrieve the Hartshead Barlow !🤣🤣🤣

Lovely pics Mr P :)

Nice presentation … !
I must say you timed the arrival of that little Ironwood Whittler perfectly!
😁

Thank you Mr. Jack and Mr. Ed.
I like that Ironwood Whittler quite a bit. Not nearly as fond of the acrylic version.  😊

** Some of you members commented on our early peak of Autumn being early. Now they are forecasting snow flurries tomorrow morning. It was all late last year.

Might be in for a long winter here. ❄️☃️

Now that sounds delicious. And nice choice of knives, btw.
Thank you much!
Speaking of ‘shrooms, tonight’s supper will be pizza. Homemade crust with sliced baby portabellas, tomatoes, onion, peppers, and garlic from the garden, and some Canadian bacon, and mozarella, and parmesan, of course. “American Italian food”😜

I got in some backpack time yesterday going up Yonah Mountain with an Albers Cocobolo.
North Georgia is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited.
A hectic morning lead to a wardrobe malfunction and a last minute change. I ended up with the truck knife and realized how much I like this little guy.

Forgot that you’re not supposed to wear white after Labor Day, huh?

Love em all but that old SAK most of all.
I knew you’d like the old Elinox.
Every time I see yours, I feel I should be totin mine.

Slipping out the door in a few minutes for my check up. As I said I might yesterday, I'll be totin my "Short Bolster" (my description) Barlow. Cup of coffee for the road and then we'll be off.

Hope the check up went well.

I just finished eating and am now craving pizza. Sounds very tasty

Many thanks JJ, what a fantastic way to start your week, with those two nicely-matched lovelies :) I hope you have a good one my friend :)
Thank you very much, Jack!!!! :)
Have a good week folks :) Starting mine with my Hartshead Barlow, and a friction folder by Tod Cutler

More magnificent metal for your Monday, Jack; your friction beauty looks like an excellent companion to your super Hartshead Barlow!😃👍👍

Another category that will be included in my new weekly knife rotation schedule (maybe I should take the pressure off myself and plan that the new schedule will debut on New Year's Day 2023 ) is "Case Knives". This week I'll be carrying 10 of them that I currently consider my 10 most favorite. Many of my Case knives were gifts from BF members, including 9 of the 10 I'm carrying this week.
This brown Delrin Peanut is the first Case knife I ever owned. I won it in the first GAW I ever entered on The Porch; thanks, Cory. A sentimental favorite, for sure.

This chestnut jigged bone CV Sodbuster Jr. is another GAW prize, from the late Big Biscuit. It's one of the 4 knives that I currently carry literally every day. I have 8 Case knives from the chestnut jigged bone CV series - I like 'em! 🤓

Great carry today Gary, your jigged chestnut collection is fantastic, can’t wait to see what’s coming the rest of the week.
😎👍
Been getting interested in some Boker offerings of late and well … these two just arrived!
New Knives Day!!
One in Castle Wood (historic oak sourced from Burg Castle in Germany - built in 1133), with acid etched 01 tool steel blade.
The other is Ironwood w/ Bohler N690 blade.

Really nice fit n finish on both, in a slim handy pattern - very similar in size to a single spring GEC 35.
Today, I carry Castle Wood!
😁😁😁
Many thanks to bigfish64 bigfish64 for all the help and insight on these …
You’re very welcome. Those are beautiful examples. 😊👍
