Great pairing :)
That Christopher Johnson Lambsfoot Barlow really is something.

Thanks it seems to be very popular,I am amazed by the reaction from a lot of people here and elsewhere.

I cant help thinking with my lack of knowledge if there where other gems I missed.

I actually had to put some back on the table at the show as I had run out of money.

I doubt I will ever buy so many knives in one go again 😇
Most of us have seen a lot of knives too, it was a great find. Old Barlows are rare as hen's teeth here, most of them were exported

We've all missed a few treasures I reckon ;)

Sheffield, strangely, is not a great place to buy vintage knives, perhaps just too many people looking for them there. I once went round about 10 Sheffield antique shops, and the only knife I went home with was a German skinning knife :D There was a time though, that some old feller decided to sell off his collection, and had 2 wardrobe-sized display cabinets in one of the antique shops. The prices were mostly fair, but they weren't cheap. Every couple of weeks, I'd go over and buy a couple of hundred quid's worth, and I introduced a few friends to them too, including a couple of guys from The Porch. One day, I went in, and the cabinets weren't there! It turned out the old feller had been missing his knives, and taken them back, much to the annoyance of the owner of the antiques shop. There's probably a heck of a lot of old knives in numerous old feller's attics and spare bedrooms. What worries me is that when they fall into the hands of charity shops, as they often do, they are destroyed, and just as many probably get thrown in bins and skips, and end up as landfill :(

My only GEC…. I have forgotten the model name and lost the box but I have used it a lot. Has the number 10 on the bolster.

High Capacity Friday. TL-29 Electrician for all my non-electrical tasks of the day (reinstalling the screen my emotionally challenged poodle tore through). And the Schrade will come in handy as I sit here and have my son skim the pool. I’m not sure how or where he got a garnet colored shirt (USC Gamecock colors) but I think I’ll make him go inside and change into an orange shirt and burn the one he has on.
