What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

What a fantastic pairing! Oil Field Jack is a handsome pattern, I should own more tortoiseshell acrylic! :D I always enjoy seeing that bold and beautiful Kephart-style FB too my friend :)
Thanks for your very kind words, Jack!!! GEC did a very nice job with this acrylic as it looks like a mixture of light and heavy crude oils. :)
Wishing everyone a great weekend :)

Those are both amazing Saturday slicers, looking amazing in your images, as well; it looks like you'll be supervising your Hartshead Barlow's treat today!😋👍👍

Very nice belt knife. Was the Craftsman stockman made by Schrade?
Most likely Schrade made, yes.
Thank you for the compliment on my little file knife!
Have carried these 2 almost every day for the last 2 weeks and again today while getting all of the fall work done except all of the leaves have not been re-positioned yet . Today though the wind is re-positioning a lot of them . Steady winds of 20 MPH and gusts much higher than that . Big enough gusts that a neighbor has a 4 foot diameter Oak Tree on and in their house .

That’s a shame! A four foot oak has an almost unimaginable amount of weight.

As often happens when the wind gets up like today, we lost power. Kept busy with stuff as long as the light held out, but eventually, Vik sat down and put on some makeup by flashlight, and the three of us went out to eat. Inside the doors at the restaurant, they have some antiquey stuff wired up on the walls, and I thought of you. Right next to a coyote sized leg trap, and just above an antique bowsaw, was a complete harness set up with two of your harness hame walking stick ends.

That big Oak went down on a side wall and went all the way to the floor . Through one room and the garage and part of the upper floor . Nobody was home but 2 German Shepard trained as Guard Dogs . I don't have anymore walking stick ends like that but I do have a set of hames with just the stubby round brass ends that I probably will never use . Let me know if you want them .

Thanks Jack. 😎👍

Hope you’re having a good time! 😎👍
Thanks Todd, certainly a lot of fireworks! :D
Thanks :)
Hi Jack - Thanks for the info on Wilson. I don’t know if the oval shape was just a gimmick or actually better for some reason vs your standard round one but it is very nice to use.
I don't know, I have seen them in all shapes and sizes over the years, I even have a smooth hexagonal one! :D

Wow thats a beauty/beast you could knock a Rhino out with that one, love it.

Spanish petrol station impulse buy.
I have a terrible memory yet can remember some things real well, well I think I do it could be memory catch 22.

I was in Riopar just south of Albacete (pronounce it as if you have a lisp Albathetie).
I had been on one of the best rides ever,a road skirting a Dam with lots of warnings about failed surfaces and the like.
Being on a road bike/scared of heights etc. I usually avoid these dirt track type roads.
No one else was using the road, it was stunning, scenic, quiet and mesmerising,I just took my time.

When I got back to Riopar I went in the local petrol station and refueled myself while the attendant did the locals.
Waiting inside to pay helmet and jacket on and very hot I looked around to pass the time, spotted the knifes on the counter and bought this one without even examing it properly.

Its not UK friendly,it is very light, fits the hand well, I just like it.
You cant open it one handed but can close it one handed, the blade goes loose and falls down when you push the lock clasp.

“ … and then one morning, alone as always, the boy ventured deep into the ancient wood … and while climbing about as boys do, he discovered a remnant from a time long forgotten … it was captivating, mesmerizing … he was drawn to it as though it called to him …
He reached out tentatively, almost trembling, and as he closed his small hand around it and felt the warmth, the swell, the way it seemed to become a natural extension of himself … he knew in that moment; this was his destiny …”

today it’s a Courthouse Whittler in (considerably mellowed) Spring Green bone …

Mellowed just right, I believe. I always enjoy seeing that Whittler. 😍 You could probably get by with just that knife, for the rest of your life. 😲
See .................... you don't need to buy anymore knives. Come to think of it, you can just sell that old junky silver SAK with the sleepy lion to somebody.;)😲🤣🐲
