What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I carried my stag 25 yesterday and started building a small fence around our new front patio.

No skate park this morning, as I’m headed to work to ship some bred heifers we sold. I’ve got this Imperial in my pocket.

Man, that 25 checks all the boxes! Beautiful stag, sheeps foot, long pull, ringed bolsters, EO cut out … 😍😍
Most of my yarrow looks like this~View attachment 1980233but a few of them decided it was warm enough for another round of flowering ~ View attachment 1980232 One of my favorite plants, I’ve spread it around quite a bit.

Today, I’m using these two: a TL-29 modded into an elk stag single blade jack, and another single blader, a Case.View attachment 1980231View attachment 1980234

I’ll use the trapper for food , as I did with this cilantro I cut out of the garden to put in our eggs this morning. Along with green onions and cayenne peppers and BACON.View attachment 1980235
That is likely the nicest TL-29 I’ve ever seen!
And I always enjoy the daily installment of “Fleschwund’s Garden”! 🌱😁👍🏼
My first GEC. This was before I knew anything about GEC. I just liked the rose.

Love GEC’s Yellow Roses! Life forced my hand a few years back and I had to let go of most of those I had acquired (who knew they’d be impossible to find later on?)
GREAT first GEC! 👍🏼👍🏼
Getting close to finished on my carve your own cherry wood Opinel No. 8. Quite a bit more time involved than I ever imagined, which will likely never be repeated. 😊

Lovely work! And a fitting motif for a cherry handled knife … 😉🍒👍🏼

You’re kind to say so, Paul. Much appreciated.
I was inspired to mod a few TL-29s by seeing the nice work of a very skilled member, glennbad glennbad . I would recommend searching for some of the threads featuring his mods. He sets a high bar.

Must be a wonderful garden to get lost in as you tend the plants.
Two nice choices for your carry today.

Panama trapper, sounded like the perfect trapper, half stops, thicker blades, wider handle... In the hand there is something odd about it. Not as well balanced as the traditional trapper pattern or something. Going to tote it around a bit and see if it grows on me. She is pretty looking, I'll giver her that.

Thank you, Rufus! My wife resents my ability to get lost out in the garden when there’re chores waiting inside.😎
Beavers acting up near Jack's swimming hole. Sak Huntsman and Camillus #18 Jack

Dig the 18 Jack ~ and Jack, of course!

I suppose if you wanted that tree down, you should thank that beaver. Just think how long it would take you with the Huntsman’s saw.
