I don't experience any issues, carried it for 2 months every day. I may not be a good benchmark though, I very rarely have any issues opening knives. It has to be almost rusted shut before I have a problem operating a slip joint.

I never tried carrying this one, the large blade nick was almost to shallow and a pain to get out, how is yours?

Thank you Mr. Jack and it only cost me fifteen bucks .......................... then wore out approximately 3 knife blades, estimated 40 hours of work, 20 sheets of sandpaper, eighty bucks for a Pyrography kit, and now I am not quite satisfied with my effort. Could have paid eighteen bucks for a finished one and stripped the finish and went from there. The pile side turned out better to my eye, but, who the heck ever looks at the pile side ?!!! I might get my black paint out before I call it a done deal ! 🤣

Nice pic of the Hartshead !😊
