Amazingly, I found it each time. Except for the last time.😔
Looking at it through a magnifying glass, I think I caused it by pressing it in so hard that I squeezed most of the super glue out, leaving only a very thin bit.

If I find it, I’ll know better. But I don’t love it any the less. Although I rarely show it off, it’s my most often carried knife.
Oh well, it happens. I'm glad you still enjoy carrying it. :) If I may suggest, if you do find the shield, scratch up the Delrin and then use two-part epoxy. It fills gaps, and doesn't get as brittle as superglue.
