It looks like you have some medical training. 🤙

Oh well, it happens. I'm glad you still enjoy carrying it. :) If I may suggest, if you do find the shield, scratch up the Delrin and then use two-part epoxy. It fills gaps, and doesn't get as brittle as superglue.

It's Hump Day.

Good advice, which I’ll follow if I find it. It’s not in the bottom of my Schrade cigar box.🤔
I’m diggin your old Case XX! Does/did anyone do redbone better? And that knife has been well loved. What did they call it, pen? Half Whittler?
On The Dime.

:)👍

Thanks, It's a full Whittler. Late 60s, I think.

The small Case lockback that I carry for my Son to have one day suffered a nearly identical handle break and I was kinda bummed. Then I said heck with it and had WAY more fun than I thought I could mixing paints and epoxy to get the color as close as I could. Built it up till it was close, sanded it to match and buffed it and the bolster to perfection and you couldnt tell it was done. THEEEEEEEEN I decided to keep messing with it and buffed it a little too hot I guess and it blackened some and you can now tell but whatever.

Part that kicked my butt is that I later found the missing piece in another pair of pants DOH!

EDIT: I just so happen to be carrying it so why not post a pic of the offending scale.

Since I cant leave well enough alone, I might pick it out of the jigging and smooth it back out to try and make it that much more hidden. If it falls out Ill either re-do it OR try to get the original piece to fit back up.

Schrade Walden 124. 73734829-011C-4962-AC51-60645F3F50DB.jpegI have not been suffering from KAS (Knife Aquisition Syndrome) for a while now. But when I was, a couple of years ago, I was looking for all of the variations of what Schrade called the Serpentine Jack. This was the most elusive. Good candidate for using @JohnDF’s slip. It’s nice and stiff, si I don’t break the peachseed.

Wenger Canyon. 75454610-598F-4A5D-B090-E4D265563683.jpegI could not name the perfect Swiss Army Knife. It is too subjective based on my plans for the day, and what else is in my pocket. In this case, the small clip blade complements the long single blade of the 124, And the phillips blade is more useful to me than a corkscrew.C8BFAD08-D5F4-4C53-A384-60575035291A.jpeg
It’s a good day for my Otter Waxed boonie hat. Nobody likes wet snow down the back of their neck.

Yesterday, I finally put away the Cub Cadet ~ likely until spring. But first I brought up three more trailer loads of firewood, because our furnace decided to retire. New one coming tomorrow.

Have a fine Wednesday!

Harry

If that comes in an apple filled version I may divert that way on my next business trip.......PA Krauts gotta have apple in our pastry....

Going to town for lunch at the Brass Rail Restaurant - Lamb Stew Wednesday and then to the Vet to pick up medicine for Coco and finally a stop at the Holiday Market for groceries. Since we're going to the Vet I think an animal related knife would be in order so, I'll tote this Lambfoot. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.
