What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy Turkey Day to everyone on the porch! Just another day for us here as my wife works overnight, it'll be leftovers in pasta. My family will get together and be thankful for the ability to overeat on Saturday. Here's two of my favorite cutters. I'm very grateful for both of these, and for all you posting pictures of your knives for me! ☺️

I also stole a little time while my wife is getting our dinner ready . Just us 2 because all of our family of 4 kids , 9 Grand Kids , and 11 Great Grand Kids and families are are all in 7 different states . First time ever after 62 years , but we are very thankful to God that we have been generously blessed .
Carrying this one today .

😍😍😍. Great duo. What is the fixed blade?

I can’t think of better knives to carry on Thanksgiving than those that represent friendship and kindness.

Great lookin pair my man. Thankful for you. All of us with your leather goods gaining patina in our pockets are grateful!

Well I busted up my collarbone pretty good at an enduro last weekend. Back to the one armed man routine, but still totin’ the excellent 35 cattle knife. Going in next week so they can put a plate in me.

Dang man. Hate that! Hopefully recovery will be quick and effective.

Make sure to request a carbon steel plate. You will want to work up a nice patina on that thing. No doubt the doc will have some 1095 laying around he can use for your surgery 😎.

Giving thanks for the two vintage Cases I found this year, to add to that collection. A 6165 SAB (10 dot c. 1970) and a 6207(c. 1965-69). I'll give thanks for family with my family tomorrow evening, since my cooking doesn't happen till then. For today, I hope to get in a nice long walk and watch the Bills and Lions game, then hope for a good nap with Elijah J.

Hope everyone has a fine Thanksgiving ! 😊

I was unaware Case made a single blade hunter. Nice looking knife
It's just Cindy, Coco, Utah, and I at home today. Since it's a small crowd and the dogs can't have turkey, Cindy is cooking a turkey breast. We'll have all the fixings - we just don't need 12-pounds of turkey left over at the end of the day. It might seem weird but today I'm thankful that Coco is on the mend and she's her old self again. Although not a carver, I'll be carrying this Remington Mini-Trapper today. Made by Camillus for Remington in 1991 the jigging on this knife is superb. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Not weird at all. Coco is a family member. The number of legs on the family member, does not a family member make.

Thanks Jon. I also learned today my Toothpick is all I need to carve a turkey.

The other Imperial Tom sent me is a 3" jack with saber-ground clip and pen blades. No patina on the blades, although there are a couple of spots of black rust; I haven't used it enough yet to determine whether the blades are carbon or stainless.
I posted a couple of Imperials Wednesday, and wanted to post an update.
I used the little Imperial jack to cut up some apple, mandarin orange, and red seedless grapes to put in my cereal this morning. After breakfast, patina was quite evident on the blade, so I'm convinced the blades are carbon steel.

I agree, the jigging is old school and the pattern is mighty handy ! 😊

Mrs. Crappie and I just got home from a walk and are getting ready to start cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. Our daughter and son-in-law are coming over later today to have dinner with us. We are so thankful for our family being close by, for our friends and our country, but most of all we’re so thankful to know the Lord and His blessings. Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the stag picture show Mr. Harry ! You have a fine collection.

Hope you and the wife had a nice and peaceful Thanksgiving. 7 different states would be a difficult ride ! 😊

Thank you!! It's an LT Wright. I think it's called the Patriot, but don't quote me on that. I just like it cause it's nice and small and easy to carry. Hope ya had a good Turkey day with the fam.

Nice 77 for Thanksgiving ! 😊

Concerning your memo pad today .................. I would respond by saying which is the better option might be age dependent. ;)🤣
Thank you sir, I'm thankful to have it.

I would tend to agree with you, but thought it was too funny not to share.

Solid choice 👌🏼. I think it would be cool to have a small EDC fixed blade thread. I need to start educating myself on all the options…

Remington UMC R-1 that belonged to my good friend Rick who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday morning.

I’ll forever miss you in the field, my friend.

I’m sorry for the loss of your pal.
Happy Thanksgiving folks! OH
Happy Thanksgiving, Bruce. I hope all’s well out your way.

22 people at our house today. Not nearly the whole extended family, but ages ranged from three to eighty nine.

Smoked a 22lb bird over ash and cherry in five hours.
I used my Schrade Walden 15OT Deerslayer for the entire job, just because.

I would never resort to the unseemly use of an electric carving thingamajig, JonMcD! 😎😄
Two perfectly sharp and capable knives, the Case Moose, and Schrade 125OT, went completely unused, so I am compelled to re-tote them tomorrow.

A post meal chance to put my feet up in front of the fireplace, take a knife photo, and ignore the football being watched by my brothers in law, before I have to go up and start doing dishes.
