What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carried this Camillus made for Sears 1927-1940, more than any other knife this past week
And it works for Stockman Sunday, so there's that

TRIVIA: "Between 1927 and 2022 Food experienced an average inflation rate of 3.12% per year.
This rate of change indicates significant inflation.
In other words, food costing $10 in the year 1927 would cost $184.53 in 2022 for an equivalent purchase."

WoW ... In 1927, I think I could have eaten for a month on just $10 ... but what fun would that be

Stellar pairing Steve
Outstanding knives today, Jack.
Many thanks Jeremy :)
After three hours working outside, and even though the temp dropped by twenty degrees, being too absorbed to go get a heavier coat, I was really looking forward to this.View attachment 2006472
Great pic Jeff :)
I’ve noticed a few of your walking sticks in your posts. Actually it’s not blackthorn; it’s pear. I cut them, hang them for at least a year, straighten them the best I can, and work them into walking sticks. I then finish them with black enamel paint and polyurethane. I think they make a “decent” substitute for blackthorn—-especially the ones with a lot of knuckles. I have a couple blackthorn sticks I really enjoy, but the shipping from Ireland to the US kills me.
Well done :)
And some super cool Double Stag at that! It looks like your heading out stag for some target practice; looks like a ton of fun!😃👍👍
Thank you very much my friend, I had to make do with some target practice at home, I just haven't had a spare day lately
I put these two burly Germanic Stag Slicers together today. :)
Stunning stag on those titanic Teutons JJ, what a fabulous combination

Hope everyone's having a great weekend :) I was at my neighbour's birthday party until after 2.30am, which is WAY past my bedtime these days  Carrying these two to hopefully liven my step ;) :D

Two capable carries Jack.

Two superlative slicers for your Saturday, Primble; the amazing stag covered T. Turner & Co. is certainly a museum showpiece, as well! ;) 👍👍

Thank you J.J. and you toted a beautiful pair of stags for Saturday !  😊

I have to go get a bib, I'm drooling so much. Very nice🎅

Thank you Mr. R !😊

Fine-looking pair, and superb pics Mr P :)

Thank you Mr. Jack and I hope you aren't groggy all day this Sunday, where I would probably be if I burned the candle at both ends. I really like that classic black folder you are totin' today. 😊

these two today … not sure why but somehow they feel complementary …

Thanks, my friend!
I can no longer do that ~ stay up until the wee hours. Party or no party. I’d need three days to revover.
Speaking of covers, the covers on your LF are really nice.

The slip on the right decided to bite me on my pinky knuckle this morning....it can cut!🙃

That is a very special 38 special ! 😲 :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:😲😍
Slow healin' on them knuckles ................... ........................... ......................................................... 🎄

Figured I would carry these 2 little Case knives today. Does anyone else think the W.R. Case looks a little like Woody Harrelson? Maybe it's just me...

I don't know if I see the resemblance, but, I do know I like that blue SB Jack quite a lot !😍

Did you know GEC has only done one size of banner shield? They haven’t scaled the shield size to the knife like they do with other shields.

I had noticed that. My personal preference would have been a much smaller scale on the Clip knife. Different strokes for different folks ! 😊
