That is a fine combination of tools ( knives). Apples are not the only things trembling.

Many Hedgehogs have perished that way in Europe. On the other hand, the shell could be a future resource for knife-handles.....🤣 As for those tools, just a wash down and a little steel wool but don't you go spoiling the collectible aspect of that fine 'patina'🙃😏😅 They still hold a great edge...

I see four to six turtles a year out back in the sanctuary but this time of year is kind of unusual. Not sure why, but don't recall seeing them around Christmas before.
The sanctuary is like a prison compound out there. I firmly believe in maintaining positive control of pets at all times and the sanctuary is as much Mason's as my domain.
So, not even sure how the turtles make it past the fencing ... but they do.

The tools were a Metal Detector find on the lot next to mine. The ball is rolling to demolish the 1500sq ft house on that lot (which I own) and to expand our sanctuary.
That house should be gone and lot cleared, ready for fencing by this time next month. Only thing slowing things at this point is the holiday season.
I have lots of good tools and see no reason to put effort into the dug finds.

I like ebony in general, but the brushed ebony has been great this year. The bunny knife is pretty much perfectly black and the toenail is also very dark with some color in the right light. I do regret not being at the rendezvous to try and get one of the ebony Northfield toenails though. A great year for GEC and ebony for sure.
 
Today was the day to go get the Kringle for the Christmas Family Gathering at our house with our kids , their kids , and their kids . FIVE total Kringles in all . 30 plus people expected
