I had 35 years of the same feelingThanks Bob.![]()
That’s pretty much how I feel about it, Mike. I’ve never scored on a drop in my life until this one — and, if I never do so again, it will all have been worth it.Grail knife!![]()
Very nice gift. Looks very useful in game processing or in the kitchen.I was reminiscing back through the year and remembering some great highlights. I was able to travel to Azerbaijan and meet some new friends One of them was a hunter and loved that I was into knives. He said that he would have “his guy” make me a knife and he would mail it to me. This came, and it will be forever a great memory from that trip. I think it is a knife put together with lots of love from mail order parts. Such a cool gift to have.
My daily carry is on top of a tea saucer that is adorned in traditional Azeri symbols. I’m a fan of any country that puts guitars and music symbols on their most common currency!

A little bit of each. At one point cold did not bother my hands until working outside in single digits in an ice storm. Now mid-30's and they ache. Take care of yourself. Heavy mittens are now my friends.View attachment 2022056
I'm not sure if it's living further south in the flat country or getting older that's made me soft. But I had to break out the gloves this morning, its only 34°f ! I used to wash my hands with snow for crying out loud![]()
Nice Kimber.Maybe I’ll get lucky and Mr. Bunny #380 will show up when Mike my Postie comes by the house.

Very nice pair of knives my friend. Looks like your snow is going away. Are you expected to get any of the storm coming in this weekend? Not really “old”, maybe medium old?
1970 Case 48 pattern slimline trapper, which agree or not, is also often called “farmer’s jack” as well. Jigged Delrin. CV steel.
Pre-1950 Camillus #68 Stockman. Found at the fleamarket maybe ten years ago for $6. At the time, I didn’t know it had a shortline tang stamp because of the grime. Jigged bone that I re-dyed.

We are well Jack and thanks for asking and we hope that you are as well . We hope that you have some very nice holidays my friend .what a neat one Harry, hope you, Nancy and the family are well!
Thanks Bob! I definitely agree.Jon, your daily carries are classic...but your memento knife looks extremely functional in the field. The story definitely makes that knife a treasure.
Heck yeah. Seems like the comparable move for the US would be to put Muddy Waters, Elvis, and Aretha Franklin’s faces on our greenbacksSo many things to love about this post!
The generosity of a friend, a remembrance of that kinship, the cool as sh*t knife that is that remembrance … plus guitars, music, and money!
Wow!![]()
Thank you sir! It’s a beast for sure and would go to work in a heartbeat!Very nice gift. Looks very useful in game processing or in the kitchen.

Wow. Thankfully I’ve never seen an igloo on my weather. I’m pretty sure I’m not tough enough to live where you live. 34 and foggy seems too cold around here. Great knives as usual, Paul. I hope you don’t have to go outside.Cold weather carry, switched from the Stag Eureka to the Smooth Ivory Bone and added the little 49.

Yours is aging well, too, Todd.
