What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

How is the weight of that knife? It looks like it would be fairly hefty with all that steel and bone and that extended spring?

Funny you should mention it, the weight of the tube was the first thing I noticed when I opened the shipping box. It surprised me as the frame looks quite slender. I've now spent five minutes hefting the knife and trying to think of another pattern it comes close to...! Without cheating I'd say it's close to the weight of a single blade #73 (ish:))

Cool, thanks for the insight Sam! Good to hear that it's quite slender though, I've got a feeling GEC is starting to slim down their knives a touch, which is a welcome change as far as I am concerned.

Not to derail the thread, here is what I've got in my pocket today:

This one everyday since I got it for my birthday on March 23rd, and that's sayin something ....I really really like this knife :)

It was snowing when I was taking the pictures so the water drops are melted snow flakes.

Agreed, their #15 Barlow is a prime example of this.

Not to worry, your Lloyd definitely gets things back on track!

Kevin - thank you. I'ts a tricky knife to photograph but I'm going to try and do it justice over the next few days:)

See this is why I like the Traditional Forum. Step away for a little while, and all the familiar people are right there when you get back :D

Jack...Im not sure if i like that knife or not??...What is it called?..The top left hand of your pic rings my bells though.... FES

That's a #66 Serpentine Jack Fes, shown with one of the pieces Gevonovich recently made for me. The pic is of Sheffield High Street, I'm not sure of the date, but the buildings still stand today, albeit with different frontage. I might post a few more in Carl's place :)
