I have this one, too, that shows its age more. The new one still has its very sharp factory edges.

I was trying to carry a big stockman yesterday, and found myself thinking that extra blade is kind of uncomfortable.

I also have two short line tang stamp #23s. But neither has the name of a big paper mill (RIP) on the Ivoroid scales. I often look at the ‘bay for one, but mostly see oversharpened blades, or overpricing, or both.
Over the years, I have come to love two blade jacks.

Edit: They do not specify whose urine to wash off of the meat…but I assume they mean the rabbit’s urine. But I’ll add, if any urine from any living being get’s on the meat…wash thoroughly .

I doubt they thought it was necesary to specify that, Jon.
From experience, I’ve learned not to nick the stomach or the bladder. The guts stink!

And on a related thought, I’ve got a packet of heirloom bean seeds to plant this spring called Turkey Craw. The story is that some beans fell out of a turkey’s craw while a hunter was dressing it out back around the Revolution. He planted them, and they grew. He saved and shared seeds, and people in south Appalachia still grow them.

Was a noisy night and Elijah J. was all amped up over it, so I'm afraid I didn't get much rest. Between the howling winds, the popping of my cold house from the sub zero temps, and the snow plows driving by, I was glad to see daylight. I won't be venturing out to take any new photos in this brutal cold, but, did take one of my new Wind Cave Coffee mug ( seems appropriate now ) that Mr. Sacto enabled me on, which is currently filled with Swiss Miss hot chocolate.

I'll be totin' Peter Rabbit again today, which I am currently trying to work up the nerve to carve out it's new name. The picture is currently a concept picture of the bunny knife. I doubt I will really go through with it.

I had another bad fall 2 days ago
I had no sleep last night from the pain in my feet from the diabetes
I had an emergency appointment for painful in growing toe nails early this morning (looking like a Zombie).



Still the way I look at it my glass must be half full as I am still alive (just not kicking much anymore)


Later I am going to see my first panto with my niece and some of the family for her 21st.

It would be a rock gig if there was one to see I am sure as my brother and I brought them up on Punk and rock.

Started out in the 5O's here in Eastern North Carolina this morning, wind blowing hard though. And in the last few minutes it started blowing cold,looking to be in the teens tonight.
Got this big Remington in my overalls breast pocket and my all time favorite pattern in the front pocket.

I’m going to carry my 294 Serpentine Jack until my Forum Knife comes.
No email yet, but I’m patient and content with this knife.
For fun though, and as joeradza said, in case of What If, I put my Bowie on my belt. Easier to get out with gloves on.

Off to get an oil change, then home and back with Vic’s Rav4 to have hers changed too. It was easy to get in to my auto shop because everybody else is a sissy about cold and blowing snow
But I’m not stupid ~ heavy Scottish wool sweater, down parka, and my incredibly warm Bunny Fur hat

When it gets close to you, the thermometer will drop like a rock ................... followed closely by wind and blowing snow. Was 47 degrees at 9:00 p.m. and 2 degrees here at 11:50 p.m.
Winds were 25-40 mph.

Always enjoy seeing the fine Boker gent.
