I intended to respond to the following posts back on Christmas Eve, but for 2022, I've tended to be 2 days late and 2 dollars short.
Bunnies and Black Box and Butcher Book - Oh My!

At first I thought you'd taken your Bunny Knife out to get a tattoo!

But I guess you're still just contemplating at this point.
Sweet seasonal shot, Tim!

The festive green 5OT is a great choice!

I really like the round bolsters with the tasteful single line on that Schrade Lumberjack!

I finally bought a Chinese version of the 858OT last summer, and I'm very pleased with it!

Cool Christmas shot of your Yoda-on-the-Spot!

Lambs and Bunnies and Sunshine - Oh My!

Admirable covers on the vintage knives!

Dramatic dark trio!

Thanks for the Christmas well-wishes, Todd.

Because of the blizzard (and some car trouble), my daughter, her boyfriend, and her dog are here with us, even though there original plans were to drive back to the Twin Cities last Friday.
(If I had a Castle Burg Böker, I'm almost certain I'd slip up occasionally and call it a Castle Burger Böker, or even a White Castle Böker.

)
I'm with you on that, Greg.

(Or maybe I like equal end patterns just because my first knife was a Colonial scout pattern.)
Thanks, Bob. "Countdown" is a good term. Even though we didn't have big plans for Christmas Day, we still had a pretty busy day with 4 humans and 2 dogs!

(And we had our "official" gift exchange and Christmas meal a week ago, when we thought our daughter wouldn't be around for Christmas.)
I noticed during the blizzard, with high winds from the west blowing snow directly against our back door, that our storm door doesn't fit as tightly as I thought it did! Every time I took the dog out, I'd have to sweep out snow that gathered between the storm door and the inside back door.
Hope you had a good one, Steve!

Thanks for your detailed and informative reply, Will.

Those "gutter" pattern knives certainly look capable of work. Do you know if the name come from the "gutters" in the bolster? I think I saw at least one example of this pattern at
Knives-of-France
that I can contemplate making mine.
Bob, that photo with your "flaming" stag reminded me of the old Christmas song, by Nat King Cole I think, that starts "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire..."
