This morning’s Christmas haul. Daughter and son-in-law gave me the two Queens, and Mrs. Crappie gave me the Camillus Stockman.

That big chief is awesome !! I’ve handled a few at flea markets over the years but they all must have been hard use knives , all were wore to the nubs!

I got to reminiscing a couple weeks ago about my first ship in the U.S. Navy which was a Destroyer (DD) commonly called in the Navy a "Tin Can". I joined the Navy in June 1965, went to boot camp, and then the Navy sent me straight to the USS Henley DD-762 as a Seaman (E-3) and I rode her until July 1966 when I caught a set of orders to Kami Seya, Japan. Anyway, I ordered up a "Tin Can Navy" hat for myself for my Christmas present to myself this year and while I was at it, I ordered up a two-blade Lambfoot knife manufactured by A. Wright. The hat's great and the knife's great. I'll wear the hat and carry the knife to my sister-in-laws for Christmas dinner today. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.

Here's the knife again and the sheath I'll carry it in today. Nice Ebony on this knife.

Merry Christmas to all you guys, gals, and youngsters.

I love that era of destroyers. My father was an officer aboard USS Cassin Young, and was actually on cruise in the Med when I was born.
I wonder if you rememeber the historical comic books the Navy used to print?
I had a good stack of them. One of my favorites was the one about the USS Constitution ~ Old Ironsides.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Gary. Thanks for your kind compliment on my knife. But I think you’ve grossly mischaracterized my wife’s collectible Jauquet Santas! 🫣😜

Oops! Sorry, Jeff; "grossly mischaracterized" is my middle name, since I don't always recognize "quality" and I'll give my opinion no matter how baseless! o_O😁
(I still think those Santas are creepy, though.)
