Great Lambsfoot choices by all of you... No better knife to ring in the New Year. 🤠

Went for a little cycle,my bike and waterproof (yea right) panniers where stil wet from the last ride.

This time it was allready raining so I put on waterproofs at the start and took stainless steel with me.

Just before I left I had this amazing visitor land in my garden and march around.

It seems to have been raining for a week or more as you can see its close to flood on the river even the ducks where complaining they where wet 😁

I took my gloves of to photo,my hands got went and I couldnt get them back on (gloves that is not my hands 😆) this has happened before (but I forgot) the lining kind of sticks.

Then the battery ran out it just doesnt last half as long as the old stolen bikes battery,so I struggled to cycle home in the lowest gear going very slow and walking up hills.

An electric bike is 10 times as hard to cycle without power compared to a normal bike.

Got home collapsed in my seat 😁

Do brussel sprouts have a long growing period or the normal season?
Well, that and my celery take a long time to mature. I started the sprouts in the house, and didn’t harvest them until after a couple of frosts. They like cooler weather.
Besides tasting better than store bought, I like to grow them because they take very little room, and other than watching out for cabbage worms, no maintenance.
Happy New Year,
Buck112 and 301 with 102.

I’d say you’re ready for whatever ‘23 tries to throw at you.
After seeing this, you don’t know how close I came to sticking my Woodsman on my belt. Such a fine, fine knife.

This one yesterday and again today.

No time for musing.
Ok. But please fill us in when you get time.🤓

Mad dogs and Englishmen. 🤭

Happy New Year to all!

Case Peanut, Redmeadow Cowbell, Maher &Grosh Yankee Whittler (GEC 78), and some leftover Christmas scratchies.

Somebody gave you those for Christmas?
That could be fun. I always wonder if there’s any jealousy, or giver’s remorse if one of those gift tickets turns out to be a winner! 🫣
Ever stood in line at the gas station while some goof in pajama pants tried to decide which lottery tickets he wants? Or even worse, scratches them off right then and there as if people weren’t standing there waiting? 🤡
HNY, JB in LV! Hope you scratch off a little jackpot for your knife kitty.

Schrade 881Y, and 293Y for a fresh, happy start. I’ll just poke around over by here in my tiny patch of woods for a suitable knife pose while Manny barks at a tree rat.BCA9DC9A-77AF-4A36-96B9-67ECAE39E4EF.jpeg
And now that my coffee’s getting cold, a pic on the old table on the deck.BBD8555B-8F31-49DA-B027-062D59C80169.jpeg
Now remember ~ if it looks like the year is starting off like a trainwreck, just turn off the news. Go outside and fill the bird feeder or something.

Wearing my new for the New Year hat and carrying my Haze Gray and Underway bone Sod Buster Jr.. You Veterans should get the meaning of "DD-214". It's the form they give us on discharge/separation/retirement from the service. The plans for today are to stay home but something might come up later to draw us off the homestead. Sausage and pancakes for breakfast.

Love the hat Ed. 🤣 Hope you and yours have a great year.

(Just for the laughs, I'm considering getting a DD-214 blanket this year.)

Well, it's been a long while since I've been in here. Changing things up a bit for 2023.

I have been picking a knife as my main pocket cutter for a month at a time. I've found most of my knives are just sitting in the storage box, even some I really like. So... with way too many knives now, I'm going to do some culling this year.

I've picked my 31 most-liked knives. The 31 most likely to be kept now that I've nailed down the patterns I like best. I'll be pulling 7 knives out for each week, using a different one each day to do whatever needs doing around the apartment and to go in the pocket when I go out. I have a few Holiday/ Special Occasion knives pulled aside, as well as a few fixed-blades.

edit - these posts might go better in the "Today's Pile" thread?

This week's handful o' knives:
