What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wearing my new for the New Year hat and carrying my Haze Gray and Underway bone Sod Buster Jr.. You Veterans should get the meaning of "DD-214". It's the form they give us on discharge/separation/retirement from the service. The plans for today are to stay home but something might come up later to draw us off the homestead. Sausage and pancakes for breakfast.

Cool cap Ed :)
I'm sure a sunny seascape can be as stimulating as a good brew. When I visited my daughter in Spain (8 years ago! ), I was underwhelmed by the beer options there at the time.
Impressive stag-o-rama, Jack!
It's true that food and drink can taste better in a different context I think :) The vast majority of tourists in that area are German, but clearly not beer-loving Germans! Thank you my friend :)
Blood Lamb is looking good Pete :)
Happy New Year Mr. Jack. You started out in style !😍
Thank you kind sir :)
Back when I rode a bicycle on a daily basis, I once had a tire blowout and was 9 miles from home. It was a really long walk home, up and down hills.
Because it took me so long, rolling a bicycle with a flat tire, it was up tp 91 degrees by the time I made it home.
That doesn't sound like a lot of fun! :( I once had through the night, in the rain, along the hard shoulder, between Calais in France, and Boulogne. It is 20 miles as the crow flies, but unfortunately, I'm not a crow! 😭

Thank you for your kind words, Jack!!! :)

An outstanding triple play of slicers to start out your New Year; love the image of all those Monarch Butterflies that were so ubiquitous when I was growing up!:cool:👍👍
Many thanks JJ, you have a real wealth of flora and fauna there my friend
I grabbed a couple of Lambs for my first day of the New Year (the Bagpipe player is from Jack Black Jack Black :))
The stars have aligned my friend, we're both having a Double Lambsfoot Day! :D
Spent a little time at the beach today.

Brussels Sprouts are biennials. Along with a bunch of other vegetables.

Beets, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chard, collard, endive, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, onions, parsley, parsnip, rutabaga, salsify and turnips are all biennial vegetables.

They grow vegetatively the first year, producing what we eat. So, normally, they are harvested in a single season. They don’t complete their life cycle til the second year. IF we leave them alone to grow a second season. That’s when they no longer put any energy into making our food, and focus on flowering, making seeds, and then dieing.

I discovered that before knowing any better when I once missed harvesting a few onions, and left them alone when they popped up the next spring. Then, they flowered, and I ended up with a whole baggie of seeds.
Thank you for clearing that up for me.
Seems that is one way of getting seeds that are losing the chemistry/genetic modifications.
Awesome sunset and knives

Great post Jon. All the best this year.
Thanks Pete! Looks like you had some explosive fun on New Year’s Day. Get some targets in yesterday?
Those are four that could easily take anyone through the year Jon. Glad you had much to be thankful for in 2022.
May '23 be even better.
That’s absolutely right…but let’s not limit ourselves unnecessarily 😂!
Spent a little time at the beach today.
