Great post Jon. All the best this year.Being lazy around the house today. The Buck has helped me with some chores and I christened the Muskrat with an apple at lunch. But mostly I’m soaking in some gratitude for last year. I had four knives given to me along with some great leather. I’m a blessed dude with much to me thankful for. Also- there is one Olamic gem that could be added but it has a hole and a flipper that is not appropriate for these parts.

Those are four that could easily take anyone through the year Jon. Glad you had much to be thankful for in 2022.Being lazy around the house today. For Auld Lang Syne, the first knife in the pocket this year will be my first knife ever -- circa 1967 Imperial BSA...

Wow you have set the bar high for the rest of the year with those beauties.
Starting the new year off with my recently acquired Buck 303. The sun just came out and it looks pretty outsideI think I'll go workout and then watch the Chiefs game. Maybe fire up the grill and have a hamburger

Rob & Jim, those are outstanding examples of that Schrade-Wostenholm series!
I have a canoe that I won in a GAW here that should be just like Jim's, but the stag on our 2 canoes looks very different, and my knife doesn't have mirror-polished blades and bolsters. I like the looks of Jim's stag better than mine, but mine happens to have a serial number that matches my birthday in DDMM format, so I'm not interested in any trades!

Back when I rode a bicycle on a daily basis, I once had a tire blowout and was 9 miles from home. It was a really long walk home, up and down hills.
Because it took me so long, rolling a bicycle with a flat tire, it was up tp 91 degrees by the time I made it home.
Sounds like a fine plan and with a fine knife !
Thanks for showing that one GT !![]()
There was only one service today, so I didn't have to get to church till 9:30, but the siblings and consorts had Christmas at my house today because of the weather last week, so I had to clear off some table, walking, and seating space, and clean the sinks and such. Obviously the intervening week wasn't suitable for spreading out the drudgery.Ok. But please fill us in when you get time.![]()
Hi Jeff, thank you, yes, and I still haven’t scratched them. I’d share any “big” winners.
My mother taught me that scratchies are a great idea for a stocking stuffer, Easter basket, birthday/holiday filler, or last-minute gift when you got no idea what to get. A way to keep from giving away a big winner, like a megabucks-powerball ticket, would be to sign the back before you gift them, that way if there’s a winner, they need to come back to you in order to cash it in.
That’s a funny story about pajama pants, no level of self-important rudeness is surprising to me - that could easily be a scene out of Clerks. My brother used to buy tickets, scratch them in the car, take any “winnings” to another convenience store, repeat the process until he won something good or they were all losers. I did not enjoy tagging along on that once.
Brussels Sprouts are biennials. Along with a bunch of other vegetables. For some reason, read that as getting old and wandering mind, I thought brussel sprouts took two growing seasons from bloom set until harvest.
So they are like greens in that a frost makes them sweeter. Most home grown veggies taste better to me than store bought veggies
I have heard one way to deal with an HOA is to plant a huge patch of corn in your front yard, surrounded by a nice bamboo border. They like that.Giving the Bunny a break as I get the yard whipped back into shape after our, what, three days of winter here in Central FL? The Christmas tree has been dispatched, among other tasks today, and my return to actual work is fast approaching after some much needed holiday time off. Sadly, the lawn won’t manicure itself, and the HOA never sleeps.
As I always seems to need screwdrivers more than a graceful clip and pen when futzing with the yard equipment, the Small Tinker has it covered.

Thanks. It was a good time, and I will sleep late tomorrow.Whether they are good for anything else, having company over forces us to tidy up the house.
Rest up. You earned it.
Thank you for your kind words, Jack!!!Those two Champagne-coloured sparklers look like a very appropriate choice for seeing in the New Year JJ![]()

An outstanding triple play of slicers to start out your New Year; love the image of all those Monarch Butterflies that were so ubiquitous when I was growing up!Happy New Year everyone, wishing you all the very best for a peaceful and trouble-free 2023

Those Livris look very cool. I’ve been considering getting one for a while. Maybe this year.Carrying these into 2023. Last years Boker BFF, KOTY, and a Fox Livri that arrived yesterday.
Happy new year!

Nice line up, Gary. I love the chestnut, CVStarting 2023 with all the chestnut jigged bone CV Case knives I've got. Might as well try to set the tone for a new year with my favorite series from Case.
I hope everyone here has a 2023 to remember (for all the right reasons)!
