They’ve been a little cooped up lately so I was letting them run. Plus once they get all wet and muddy I don’t want them on the quad with me

I wish the newer models had that character of build. They just leave me with a cold feeling.

Rufus1949 Thank you. What do you mean by 'newer'? The original BB series also had Stag and I think Smooth Bone together with the Rodgers Bone from c 1987-93. There's an epic sized thread on them here and Winchester offered large No.s of very interesting patterns during this time- made by Queen Cutlery.

I was referring to very new models. I have two from overseas and covers are like plastic.
My older Winchesters have more attention to detail and artfully crafted jigging.
