What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Couple of real champs from Charlie, Jack!

I ordered a meal recently that included a "coddled egg" and I had to ask the waitress what it was.
Thanks Gary, I always laugh at the name of that dish, which is very rare here today. Did the egg come wrapped in a scarf and sweater or anything? :D

These old chaps were my Thursday totes. :)
Two venerable gentlemen there my friend :)
Part of fantastic Friday carry the Barkie 😆

I eat day-old bread and I comment on week-old posts in this thread.🤓

I’ve been blamed of being overly optimistic, quite a bit in my life!
That's not a bad trait to be accused of at all, Jon!:thumbsup::cool:

So you're seriously trying to make us believe that GT unhinges you more than what's on that knife???o_O The briefest of glances reveals a Rottweiler with rabies or a stalking Siberian Tiger, take your choice:eek: In the meantime, Run for your lives men!🏃‍♂️🦿
Uh-oh, looks like the Primble Primble Plague may be spreading - the virus is going viral!😁

These two for me today. I hope you all have a most excellent weekend.

Have a fine Saturday. And thanks for showing your fine knives, my porch friends!
You do good work, Jeff! The handle mods are superb, but I really like the little blade you made from the electrician screwdriver.:cool::thumbsup:

What's better than a knife-on-post photo? A 2-knives-on-post photo, especially when the knives are a pair of vibrant vintage examples like those!:cool::cool:

Magnificent Moose! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Shapely Schrade and a Churchill to cherish, Steve!:thumbsup::cool:

John, I'm sure that splendid TC Barlow will help you get that knot untangled in no time!:thumbsup:🤓

Gotta carry something and it might as well be Stag .
Words to live by, Harry!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and that you have a restful and relaxing Sunday :)

I carried these two today. I know we need the rain, but it was nice to get a little break today.

I had these to with me also.

Bart, hopefully the excessive rain isn’t doing any damage and will help your cattle thrive.
Giving this Calf Roper a go today. Not sure what we're having for breakfast this morning but it's definitely Clam Chowder at the Wagon Wheel Cafe for lunch.

Ed, that’s my absolute favorite GEC pattern.

Sometimes a Flitz facelift is a big improvement. 🤙
When I saw that word “facelift” though, I remembered that Hollyweird put on one of their award shows the other day.🙄
What a glamorous life I lead 😂

Cowboys arrived this morning and installed a new washing machine.

Then I had to go back to the hospital to get my cast adjusted it was rubbing my arm raw.

Decided to get a hot meal in the Hospital staff restaurant and people watch for hot nurses.

Nowadays they all dress like they are mechanics fixing a car. 😁

Something happened I thought was really funny, the food ordering machines are new.

I didnt know how they work,I stopped at one and was banging on the screen.

A head popped around from the back it was a technician fixing it,he had opened the screen and was behind it working on it.

I hadnt seen him, I thought the screen had been set at an angle so it was easy to see as you walked in,he probably thought I was a clown 🤣🤣🤣

I had the curry (which wont win any awards) I couldnt cut the samosa it was so tuff and my hand was hurting.

So I was stabbing it until I gave in and used my fingers 😁

On the way through the hospital I bought sandwiches for the next couple of days and a Spanish book from the support the hospital charity shop (I paid twice the asking price, its only fair).

Then I had a coffee after I went down in the lift to the coffee shop near the exit.

A little kid in the lift kept calling me grandad, I asked his mum If I looked that old,she just smiled.

When I got home the washing machine was leaking,my plumbers not answering his phone and the shop who sold it had long gone home.

I mopped up the water best I could one handed.

But I have a friend whos a drummer (the size of Thor) he has helped me before, hes coming over after band practice as I cant even bend down to see where the waters coming from.

Tommorow early doors I have to go for a MRI at another hospital quite far away. 😇

I hope it’s boring and uneventful 🤔

I’m equally befuddled by the food dispensing machines, Johnny. Gimme a human, please.
Sadly, even with zooming in, I don’t see anything resembling “hot nurses”.
During my half year in the hospital however, I was blessed by some very beautiful nurses. But attractive or not, all of them apologized for the swill and gruel they were spooning into my mouth as they took control of the tv remote.
I’m usually secure and content with my day’s knife choices, but this makes me wonder if I should go back to the cigar boxes, and get a Schrade Serpentine Jack. 👌
Couple of splendid photos of a pair of admirable knives, Jeff!

Knives, sheath, and radiator are all winners, Greg!

Must feel good to be barking with the big Dogs!

Those are a couple of very desirable vintage knives, IMHO!

You guys are immensely entertaining! 😁🤓

I'm definitely lurking about, almost ALL the time.
But I'm usually lurking around 3 days to a week behind most of y'all.

Is that Imperial jack about 3.25" closed? Except for the shield, it looks very similar to the knife that brought me here back in 2014, after my wife found this knife she thought once belonged to her dad, and I decided to start carrying a knife again after about 45 years of rarely having a pocket knife on me:

Does that big scout knife seem to be well-made? Looks pretty good!

Thanks, Todd.

Doesn't wine and French toast sound good??
A votre santé!

One of my best friends in college came from Berwyn IL, and I visited his house several times. Berwyn seemed like a nice town, although they had a lot of racial tensions back in the late 60s and early 70s (which was true of many places). Good Vienna hot dog places!

Mike, did you ever see this Abbott and Costello routine involving 7x13 = 28? A real favorite of mine, since I'm always talking to prospective math teachers about the roles of conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge in learning math.

What a beauty!!

Exquisite pair, LT!

Stellar stag stockman!

Thank you, Gary! And thanks for sharing the video of you teaching math!

I don’t eat hot dogs, but if you’re looking for the best Eye-talian beef, I can vouch for several joints around those close in western Chicago suburbs. Too bad I don’t get in there anymore.

I have a lot of jacks for somebody who never liked them because they don't have three blades. I'm appreciating the spear & pen combo lately. Evolution or dithering?
Four-line Utica.
How big is that? If you like that combination, I bet you’d like the old Camillus 23 Big Jack!
Bunny is traveling incognito now.

I’m not even going to look that up. I’m sure there will soon be commercials scaring us about it and telling us to “ask you doctor if xyz rx is right for you”. 🫣

Very nice of you to say, Gary! I confess to copying some of @glenbad’s modded TL-29s. I doubt I’ll do any more though. Even though that little straight edge is useful, the screwdriver blade with the utility edge is more better useful.
