#35 and #68 today

Let's do the Time Warp again!;)

Post dawn gloom of a snowing sky. It make an almost black and white photo.View attachment 2036124

Couple of splendid photos of a pair of admirable knives, Jeff!

Queen mountain man on the belt and Case whittler in the pocket today. The Queen is a big knife to carry and I doubt I will need it today but it rides well in the pancake sheath on the belt and the additional weight goes unnoticed. :)View attachment 2036301View attachment 2036302
Knives, sheath, and radiator are all winners, Greg!

I just felt like a couple of Bulldogs today.View attachment 2036315View attachment 2036316
Must feel good to be barking with the big Dogs!

Two forgotten/humble two bladers that I love today
Those are a couple of very desirable vintage knives, IMHO!

No need to apologize, Rob. It is comforting to know that The Porch has a resident Certified Rorschach Knifeologist in our midst. I, for one, sleep more soundly at night knowing that. 🤣 🤣 🤣
😲 ...................... no no no ..............I ain't certified ! 😉🤣
Glad there were no ghosts....View attachment 2037197
You guys are immensely entertaining! 😁🤓

😲 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not so fast my friend ..... you haven't shown me the mark side. Nothin' to be concerned about on the pile side. 😉
Now Jiki, on the other hand, might need to be really concerned about his knife today .........
........... that's all I'm going to say at this point ............ never know if that threatening GT might be lurking about. 😉🤣
I'm definitely lurking about, almost ALL the time.
But I'm usually lurking around 3 days to a week behind most of y'all.

My Daughter found this old Imperial while out antiquing. So, it went to the clays range with me!

Is that Imperial jack about 3.25" closed? Except for the shield, it looks very similar to the knife that brought me here back in 2014, after my wife found this knife she thought once belonged to her dad, and I decided to start carrying a knife again after about 45 years of rarely having a pocket knife on me:

Added to my carry, clipped to belt loop
Marbles Orange & Black G10 Scout Knife. (only 4.7" closed).

Does that big scout knife seem to be well-made? Looks pretty good!

Beautiful Case Barlow Gary, and CV too!
Thanks, Todd.

Still bedding in my Waynorth Lambsfoot in ebony, and pairing it with another of Charlie's finest for Old Friends Friday :)

Couple of real champs from Charlie, Jack!

Thanks John, I must admit, I do coddle this one a bit! :D

I ordered a meal recently that included a "coddled egg" and I had to ask the waitress what it was.

Going to my favorite wine shop today, so a Frenchman is appropriate.View attachment 2037040
Doesn't wine and French toast sound good??
A votre santé!

Hmm. I think one of my neighbors is from Berwyn. 😎
One of my best friends in college came from Berwyn IL, and I visited his house several times. Berwyn seemed like a nice town, although they had a lot of racial tensions back in the late 60s and early 70s (which was true of many places). Good Vienna hot dog places!

I watched an Abbot and Constello movie a while back. Great fun 👻
Mike, did you ever see this Abbott and Costello routine involving 7x13 = 28? A real favorite of mine, since I'm always talking to prospective math teachers about the roles of conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge in learning math.

The old Winchester is riding in my pocket today.View attachment 2037276
What a beauty!!

Exquisite pair, LT!

Stellar stag stockman!

Gary...wine and most anything sounds good.
Now, give me a moment to get a refill if you are going to add to your " ode to forum members".
Always the gentleman Gary.

VERY well made. 😁👍
I don't even see any cosmetic "defects" on the one I received. (obviously other examples may be different.)

I think the G-10 version was out of stock for a while, but is back in stock again. I know the "Dave Canterbury" version was (same size but NS bolsters and jigged synthetic or bone, not sure which) is also back, so there must have been a second run on both. Who (aside from them) knows if there will be a third run when they sell out again?
I bought the orange G-10, version because I didn't have an orange knife. I might get the Canterbury version later this year ... I haven't decided yet. 🤔

Anyway, I'm very happy with it. The G-10 integral bolsters and liners really cut the weight, too. I haven't put it on my grain/grams scale yet (dead battery) but it feels lighter than both my Ulster BSA, and '47 to '54 (based on the can opener) Imperial Engineer's knife.
I've had it clipped to my belt loop (other than when using it) since it arrived.
