What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I just finished cleaning up and detailing this old Robeson Pocket Eze folder made for the Craftsman trade (not the company). The main spear is stamped and they made a similar knife that was stamped "Mechanic" on the blade. This one also has a short pointy carving blade and a nice punch. Fantastic snap on all the blades. I love the bone. I got this from the grandson of a cutler that worked in the old Camillus factory. All hammered pins places this in the 1920's or earlier era. The patent date stamped on the punch is is April 25-05. I'm a totin' it today. 😊

You're certainly toting an amazing and rare beauty Mr Primble! 👍👍

Mostly toted a Husqvarna 365 with a 20” bar today clearing my front door, drive, and street from an ice storm. The Case Bose Bullnose was along for the ride, albeit light duty cutting open packages with flares and winch straps. It’s not too fancy for some work. I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for these kind days.

First task of the day was clearing limbs off of my truck, and then the work began. 🥴

I hope you were able to get out from under all of that. Nature is grand until it wants to show you who is in charge.

Wow! A true beauty right there.

The trip to the Vet went well for Coco yesterday. He took her off three medicines and left her on just one maintenance pill plus she gained some weight since her last visit last month. Being that we live in a rural area, most everyone - men, women, youngsters, carry at least one knife so, I did show the Bunny knife to the Vet. He thought it was pretty cool and recommended no shots or meds - just plain ole use. As I pictured Tuesday evening, the Bunny traveled in my right front pocket with all it's buddies. It's trash day so, the trash guys will be coming to empty our dumpster. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good news Ed! 😎👍

After learning all about the Naval significance of this area, Merle wanted to know more about what has happened on land in this area, so off we went to historic Yorktown, and the Yorktown battlefields to be specific. First we found the location where the Revolutionary War ended.

We then toured the Second Allied Siege Line.

After seeing the location where historic Revolutionary War (and Civil War) battles took place, we then went to see the Yorktown Victory Monument.

Nice carry Jack, those mini tools are pretty cool. 😎👍
Thanks Todd, unfortunately you can only carry one at a time unfortunately :( Except on the famous French Army Knife of course ;) :D

Chicken dinner* and pool at Eagles today. I might go washing machine shopping too. My 37 year old Montgomery Wards machine quit working yesterday. I've repaired it twice myself over the years, but I fear that it has spun its last spin cycle. 🪦 Thirty seven years was a pretty good run. Several years ago, I looked around and said, "all this stuff is going to fail at the same time." A year ago I bought a new refrigerator. Last summer the hot water heater and the well pump went out. Now the washer. I hate being right all the time
37 years is a pretty good run :)
I grew up in Michigan. In Michigan, at that time, "dinner" was the equivalent of "supper", i.e. the evening meal. Here in Missouri "dinner" is most often used to mean the midday meal, i.e. "lunch", but can also mean the evening meal depending on who's saying it and the context. It's all very complicated and takes years to master. Anyway, I'm going to a chicken lunch. Just though I'd clarify that View attachment 2068995
Exactly the same here :D

Thanksmy friend! Good afternoon to you.
UK laws are puzzling. When we were in Edinburgh, the buses had big banners reminding the public that air rifles, aka: pellet guns were now illegal. Yet if you ask me, I’d rather get hit with an air rifle than a crossbow. 🥴
Yeah, you're not kidding Jeff! It's crazy isn't it? Only a matter of time before they outlaw crossbows too! 😠Hope you're having a good day brother :)

I’ll just echo the previous compliments.
I love that you have some history on that fine old knife, just wonder why a guy would part with it! Glad for you he did.

Man, I should look for a Lumberjack at the Badger Knife Show next month!
Nice handful.👌

Slip Coco a little doggie treat, and tell her Manny says hi.
You threw me off for a second going from talking about your knife to taking out the trash!

Nice BF pair, David. Complementary blade choices.
