UK laws are puzzling. When we were in Edinburgh, the buses had big banners reminding the public that air rifles, aka: pellet guns were now illegal. Yet if you ask me, I’d rather get hit with an air rifle than a crossbow.

I was going to say what SteveC said. But he said it better.
I *think*, even though that causes trouble, that three companies made the WWII Navy Jacks~ Camillus, Imperial, and PAL Blade Co. And PAL got into it by buying all of Remington’s knife tooling when Reminton switched over to making brass cartridge casings for the war effort.
Anyway, it’s kind of the quitessential jackknife!

I grew up in Michigan. In Michigan, at that time, "dinner" was the equivalent of "supper", i.e. the evening meal. Here in Missouri "dinner" is most often used to mean the midday meal, i.e. "lunch", but can also mean the evening meal depending on who's saying it and the context. It's all very complicated and takes years to master. Anyway, I'm going to a chicken lunch. Just though I'd clarify that View attachment 2068995

Same here in south central Kansas.

I just finished cleaning up and detailing this old Robeson Pocket Eze folder made for the Craftsman trade (not the company). The main spear is stamped and they made a similar knife that was stamped "Mechanic" on the blade. This one also has a short pointy carving blade and a nice punch. Fantastic snap on all the blades. I love the bone. I got this from the grandson of a cutler that worked in the old Camillus factory. All hammered pins places this in the 1920's or earlier era. The patent date stamped on the punch is April 25-05. I'm a totin' it today.
