An outstanding combination of Swiss utility and British beauty; love how detailed the image of your Hartshead Barlow looks! ;)👍👍

Sensational pair Bob! Love the bone on these.

The color on this one is perfect.

What a treasure. I love that it’s a “CRAFTSMAN” but not Sears. So unique.

Looks like you got that thing cuttin like a laser beam!

4x the brass makes my heart happy. So good!

The lamb is looking perfect. A really great piece!

Love this carry F.C.!
Thanks! I really like that old Case red bone

Same here in south central Kansas. 🤠
Maybe you just know a higher class of people than I do :)
I grew up in Michigan. In Michigan, at that time, "dinner" was the equivalent of "supper", i.e. the evening meal. Here in Missouri "dinner" is most often used to mean the midday meal, i.e. "lunch", but can also mean the evening meal depending on who's saying it and the context. It's all very complicated and takes years to master. Anyway, I'm going to a chicken lunch. Just though I'd clarify that View attachment 2068995

Ok ......... let me get you all straightened out on all this. it takes simple minded Kentucky people to figure all this out. 🤣
In Kentucky, if it is morning and you say "Lets go to dinner" it means let's go to lunch. If you say lets go to lunch, it means lets go to lunch or dinner.
If it's afternoon and you say "Let's go to dinner", it means let's go to supper. If you say Lets go to supper and it's afternoon, then means the same at let's go to dinner.
If you have low learning, you'll likely say "Let's go to supper". If you have a college degree, you'll absolutely say " Let's go to dinner."...................
and neither way is wrong ! Savvy ? 😲🤣

and what does all this have to do with pocket knives. Absolutely nothing ! 🤬......................... unlessin' you are planning on taking your dinner knife to supper. 😲🤣

I just finished cleaning up and detailing this old Robeson Pocket Eze folder made for the Craftsman trade (not the company). The main spear is stamped and they made a similar knife that was stamped "Mechanic" on the blade. This one also has a short pointy carpenters blade and a nice punch. Fantastic snap on all the blades. I love the bone. I got this from the grandson of a cutler that worked in the old Camillus factory. All hammered pins places this in the 1920's or earlier era. The patent date stamped on the punch is April 25-05. I'm a totin' it today. 😊
3 & 5/8" closed.

That one is super cool. Interesting blades, awesome jigging, and the rad red shield 👍
Good news Ed! 😎👍
I’m glad to hear Coco is doing better.
Thursday. The mailman kindly dropped off a new Peak Eiger led in black alloy right before dinner 🔦 Where I grew up around the Lake of the Ozarks we always referred to the last meal of the day as "dinner", and "supper" could be more variable possibly in the early afternoon even... @mbkr maybe it's a regional thing?

I’ve said it before, but I love that Davison, FC. Is that a huge sheet of vintage Micarta it’s sitting on?

The Lamb and a Buck today.

Nice pairing Paul :)
Thank you all the kind remarks and/or emojis. Maybe you guys detected that I was excited to get that knife. I am pleased to add it to my increasing in size, slowly but surely, Robeson collection. I reckon I can call it a small collection now, as this one made eleven old Robeson's. The "Pocket Eze" series of Robeson's seem to interest me the most.

I didn't learn the back story until after I paid for it. The grandson told me that he was selling part of his late grandfather's collection and that his grandfather had worked as a cutler at the old Camillus factory. He didn't tell me this, but, I suspect he inherited the collection. He also told me that he (the grandson) lives just down the street from the old Camillus factory (which made me wonder if he might have inherited his grandpa's house too) and that he actually watched the old factory burn to the ground. He followed by saying "that was a sad day."

I inquired further about his grandfather and he promised to tell me more soon, as well as send me some pictures of some nice old Camillus knives he will be selling.

The photos below are from the 1908-1930 catalog. I only have five pages of that catalog, but, have the full catalog headed my way. The top photo shows the same frame and punch as mine. The Mechanics knife, below it, shows a different frame and the same Carpenter's blade that is on my Craftsman's knife. Hoping that the full catalog will show my model.

How about we put on the grub bib and saddle up to the table. That covers all meals.🤠

Duly noted Mr P. 👍 😁

The trip to the Vet went well for Coco yesterday. He took her off three medicines and left her on just one maintenance pill plus she gained some weight since her last visit last month. Being that we live in a rural area, most everyone - men, women, youngsters, carry at least one knife so, I did show the Bunny knife to the Vet. He thought it was pretty cool and recommended no shots or meds - just plain ole use. As I pictured Tuesday evening, the Bunny traveled in my right front pocket with all it's buddies. It's trash day so, the trash guys will be coming to empty our dumpster. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
