What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Going solo today with my John Primble India Steel Works bare-head jack. It's stout enough to get most jobs done. I would guess this one was made between 1890-1929. All hammered pins, steel bolsters, and a saber-cut main, 3.4 inches closed, or a tad smaller than the Bunny knives. No doubt in my mind that this one was made by NYKC for Belknap Hardware and was furnished with the "Goods of Honour" shield. It's a clacker, as Harry says. 😊

Glad to hear that I am not the only one with CARDBOARD my friend . For me it is usually only about a 2 hour job . I hate to think how big a job it is for paulhilborn paulhilborn . But he is a young guy .

Love the duo Bob and love the mug! My boy Sam had to do a presentation on Leif Ericsson and dress up. Mama got him a plastic war axe to go with it. It hurt my dad pride so I had to whip up an axe that would represent! It turned out more Leif the lumberjack, but it was fun and it helped him channel his Valhalla chops!

Have a great day my friend.

One of my favorites! You found it! Such a good blade combo and pattern 👍🏼. Great photo as well 👌🏼

Thanks! I really like the blade combo too. I wish more jacks came with a coping blade instead of a pen. Great axe. I bet your son was the envy of his class.

Gonna stay home today. Gotta rest up for my visit to the ENT Oncologist tomorrow up in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The good news is that no finger waves will be required. Not much worse than hearing the snap of a rubber glove when your back is turned to a doctor. Regardless, I'll tote this single-blade Scout Trapper today. Sausage and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

A youngster indeed Harry! :D It didn't take me that long. Hard getting hold of good cardboard boxes for shipping here, so I tend to accumulate them for sending presents across The Pond. However, since the Royal Mail haven't shipped overseas for more than a month, I have a backlog!

Excellent pairing Paul
