What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Looks like the wife has been paying close attention to what her man likes. Nice stag Case and that is one curvy saddle horn, my friend ! 😍
I once had a girlfriend that gave me a Colt Gold Cup N.M. for Christmas. I should have hung on to that gal. ;)🤣

We had a beautiful sunny light wind day today and reached 80 degrees for a high temp. Tonight we had strong thunderstorms ....... so what would you say ? .....
...... did March come in like a lamb or in like a lion ? 🤔
Thank you very much Mr. Primble . After 62 years , I guess she does know me .

Harry

I feel for you. Stay warm. Don't know if I want to tell you, 1st day of Autumn today & here it was 90+.
We’ll get there. I don’t need 90 yet, I just want it to get warm enough to grow some grass.
Bart, those ettrick's don't get enough recognition.
Hope the pastures turn greener and the weather warms up for you and the herd.
Thanks, Bob. Once you get past the long handle and short blade, the ettrick is a handy work knife. The longer days are helping, but it’s supposed to be cold for a bit longer.
May the sun be on your face and the wind aft...

The grit is gone and the blades are happy now.View attachment 2099898View attachment 2099899View attachment 2099895
Nice pairing of old and new today, Bob. Great old bone and cool new bolster 👍

Eureka jack today. Forgot to take a picture of it until tonight.

Awesome pair and shot!

It was ‘Dads Day’ at the girls’ preschool this AM so it’s been a great start to the day. I hope everyone is having a fine hump day as well.

Other good news is I found Hati; that little guy is easier to lose than my Alox Cadet…

I picked up this Ti Compact last year and it’s been a mainstay secondary in my EDC. Love the ‘upgrade’ with these covers. Also joining the pockets is the Gator - tough to let that one sit for too long.

Out on the desk

I won an auction for this one recently and it showed up in yesterday's mail. I got it pretty cheap because it didn't have a shield and looked pretty rough. I spent some time cleaning it up last night, getting most of the crud out of the inside, flushing it out, gluing on a new shield and giving the blades some new edges. It's not the prettiest knife around, but it's still solid and has some life left, so I'm putting it in the pocket today.

Pretty? Maybe not. But it surely is a handsome looking affair.

Ive got another nice cigar box,I have lined them with green felt from a craft shop.

Heres a few of my other storage solutions gun cleaning tool roll and pencil storage boxes.

There is more including stuff in draws and all around the various rooms of my house.

Though compared to some of you its nothing 😁

Great storage solutions... and very original too.

Fantastic picture and knife Greg !  😲 😍 😍
Thank you Mr P. Was in the low 50's here yesterday and pleasant enough for an outside pic. for a change. I've been doing inside pics for month now but spring win arrive here eventually, I hope.:)
Like both your Whittler and your Draw Knife . I dot Whittle , but I do like to use a Draw Knife .

Harry
Thanks Harry. My drawknife gets a lot of use, real handy for hogging wood off of osage bow staves. The shavings are from an osage staved seasoned 3 years, notice how yellow in color they are when freshly removed compared to the osage knife handle that's been exposed to air and light for a few years. Osage is an amazing wood, it also gets harder and more durable the longer it ages. I've worked some osage fence post with a drawknife that were cut in the 40's and it was almost like carving stone.:)

Made a nice combo for Micarta Monday, but had to switch after lunch when my wife asked "Is your butt at all cold?" which was her way of informing me that my overalls had sprung a leak in the stern 😢. It comes with the turf riding bicycles everywhere ( I refuse to wear spandex).

Switched over to this fine pair, carried Tuesday as well because I had no time to fuss over knives that morning.

No spandex here either. Flannel, denim, and leather all the way. No batteries and no clips, but I do reserve the right to don a pair of closed-toe sport sandals and cargo shorts for warm weather. Nice knives - is that really a Wenger?
