I don’t think I’ve seen this model of Case before. It looks very “Lamb-like”
A couple of regulars today. Smart watches just get smarter and smarter. Having a compass is always handy.
Nice cutlery~always like seeing that stag!
My Wenger is not a smart watch. In fact, I see I forgot to tell it February only has 28 days…

I agree on the utility of having a compass. I find the one in my Subaru pretty handy, because I like to wander around without resorting to my “smart phone”, and I don’t often have a mechanical compass on me.

As always, I love seeing your 72 with it’s lovely Rogers Imitation Delrin

.
Beautiful cutlery, John. Who made the fixef blade?
If you were trying to nail your knife to the tree, you missed.
I hope the storms left you intact, Mike!
Picked this one up in a current sale. Always liked the look of these knives but thought they would be too big. So glad I jumped. Pleasantly surprised at how “small” it is. Went right into the pocket after delivery…

You didn’t have to flush, sharpen, or oil it?
I’ve sometimes gotten a factory edge that would do, but still can’t resist making it “better”.
I guess “sandbagging” could apply, but really I was aiming for self-deprecating humor.
In your case, Royalty is 100% accurate. And speaking for myself, your daily knife choices are a true joy, and something I look forward to each morning.
I sure hope I didn’t offend, because I only meant to poke fun at my own carries!
Now I have to try and shoot a crow for breakfast!
Uh oh! Looks like the crow was smarter…
The Buck is a fine specimen.

It went straight from the mailbox to the pocket.
Of my small group of Forum Knives, I think the Buck is my favorite.
Today is the anniversary of Texas’ Declaration of Independence, March 2, 1836, and ensuing war to break free from Mexico. General Santa Anna became the military dictator of Mexico, suspending its constitution and elected body of representatives. The pattern is one repeated over and over through history, when a few who “know what is best” abolish freedoms of the citizens “for their own good.” Several Mexican states rebelled, with Texas sucessfully breaking away. It was its own country for ten years, until it joined the United States. For those interested in history, look up the Zacatecas Rebellion for the beginning of the fight.
Spanish and French explorers were in what is now Texas in the 1500’s, long before the English Pilgrims hit the shores in the northeast.
Texas has been part of Spain, France, and Mexico at various times before joining the United States, but it was never part of Great Britain.
This flag is one of my most prized personal possessions, a flag flown over the Alamo on March 2, 2021, Texas Independence Day in my honor. The big Bowie knife by Randall is out today in remembrance of the fight of Jim Bowie and his colleagues that fought against the dictatorial powers of Gen. Santa Anna. Rest in peace warriors and may we remember your painful lessons of history to avoid repeating them.

Love the history, and your Randall is spectacular.
I needed another hole in my belt this morning so this one was today’s easy choice.

Needed another hole in your belt could go either way…

Great and useful knife!
Wenger Trailblazer - a decent all rounder
(tools not showing; Phillips driver, punch, file and TT)
I believe that’s much like my left front pocket tote, the Canyon.

And if you’d prefer a corkscrew in place of the Phillips, there’s the Viking. I dig Wengers.
That reminds me I have to remove some walnuts that are starting to shade my garden. I did take my chainsaws over to a church friend’s place to help clean up some ice storm damage.
Maybe I shouldn't answer for Travis but I'm 99.9% certain that's black locust. BL is about as close to osage as any wood can get. I've cut a worked an awful lot of osage and locust, both have similar ring characteristics and durability.
I was going to guess Mulberry, which is a very close genetic relation to Osage Orange…
