Update forModoc ED on Lacey: the tumor on her gum is malignant, but not the kind that metastasizes, so removing it will probably be enough (doc said it's in a "favorable location", although I'd suggest in not being in my dog at all would be even more favorable). She's getting part of her lower jaw removed tomorrow morning, which they are telling us is pretty straightforward and goes really well for dogs. Prayers, vibes, smoke, and good thoughts for Lacey are all appreciated.
