What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love this big Camillus.

It doesn't hurt that I got it cheap in as-new condition, but I love the knife.

I'll be carrying this one today (and probably for a while!) - thanks again to Jack Black Jack Black s generosity:

Unfortunately, Lacey won't get breakfast today (can't have anything to eat before her surgery), no matter how cute she is:

Very sorry to hear about Lacey's troubles buddy, I hope everything goes well

That's a very cool IXL Wireless Knife

That's a very nice-looking scope JJ, what do you have it mounted on, if you don't mind my asking? Cool Case Barlow too of course :)

Thinking of Lacey this morning, and hoping all goes well. Hang in there little furry friend.

Tyson A Wright Tyson A Wright , hope Lacey's recovery goes well
Thank you all! And everybody else that has sent up a prayer for her or well wishes. We appreciate it.

I think that as we start going outside to do things , we have chosen certain knives to have in hand to use . I know that I have way more knives that I never USE than I do USE . When I am staying in the house , I have more time on my hands to Coon Finger and Chicken Eye knives . You have chosen some nice users for today Jeff .

Harry
So right, Harry. I like to carry knives suited for for what I think I might get into. Unfortunately, some days pass without anything more serious than opening a pack of suet for the woodpeckers ~ and the blackbirds😏

Check your phone ~ I left you a text.
Excellent pair, Jack.

That’s a really cool knife!

Sounds like a good time! I love the baseball bat knife!

Nicely paired, Paul. It’s nice to have one straight edge and one blade with some belly.

Interesting fixed blade. Definitely colorful!

That’s some serious ebony goodness!

Looks like that blade is nice and thin behind the edge.

That’s a little beauty, Paul. I’ve never handled one of those in person, is the spine of the punch folded over like the punch on an Alox Pioneer?

I’m carrying this new-to-me Wenger Sportsman today (my first Wenger SAK). Got it in the mail this morning, cleaned it up a bit, put a fresh edge on it and it’s good to go.

Welcome to the Brotherhood of Wengerites!

XX+XX = Goodness2 👌
I haven’t carried this one before. Thought a birthday called for a special knife…View attachment 2110328
Well, Happy Birthday, Jim!👏
The bad news is that it’s going to be hard to top this year’s birthday present.
The good news is that you have a year to look around.
Had these two in my pocket:

Then the mail showed up, and now, due to the wild generosity of Jack Black Jack Black I unexpectedly but quite delightedly have this in my pocket:

Update for @Modoc ED on Lacey: the tumor on her gum is malignant, but not the kind that metastasizes, so removing it will probably be enough (doc said it's in a "favorable location", although I'd suggest in not being in my dog at all would be even more favorable). She's getting part of her lower jaw removed tomorrow morning, which they are telling us is pretty straightforward and goes really well for dogs. Prayers, vibes, smoke, and good thoughts for Lacey are all appreciated.

Kudos to you and Jack for the kind gifting!
Best wishes for your Best Friend, Tyson.
Is Lacey a Blue Heeler? Looks like a real lovebug.

Along with my Redbone Buck 303 (standard pocket fare), I'm carrying this Victorinox Classic SD. I'm thinking it qualifies as a Thrifty Thursday offering, as well as the fact that it's been in my watch pocket for the past day or two. I'm trying to decide if I want to send it off for new scales or leave it as is - no pocket slip required as is. Other than the scales being pretty well beaten, the knife is in great condition. This was a gifted knife from a long time friend: it came in a batch of miscellaneous used knives he sent to me some time back. Let's face it, one cannot deny that the Victorinox or Wenger knife is an engineering marvel.

You can find vendors on the big auction site selling SAK scales and accesories. I have bought new celidor scales to brighten up old ones. They just snap on and off.
The advantage of the celidor is that they let you have the tweezers and toothpick. I’ve needed those tweezers many times to yank out splinters and thorns from my hands.
Snowpocalypse has hit the UK! ;)

It looks just like that here, too. Ain’t it purty?
Nice Buck!
How’d it go at the Toolman’s booth yesterday? Any antique tools come home with you?
Rain+snow= slush here.
