Been a heckuva' few weeks here.Glad to have such fine tools to tote along for the busy-ness. Wish I had time to pull up a chair, but that's looking another week or two out for me. No rest for the wicked they say, and honestly it's still better than I've earned
. The fancy new phone takes pretty nice pics, eh?
Thank you Frank, have a great weekend!!!I came back this morning to take another look at this. Yep, I do like it... a lot.
Thank you very much, Jack!!!That's a very nice-looking scope JJ, what do you have it mounted on, if you don't mind my asking? Cool Case Barlow too of course![]()

Beautiful frosty images of your two Friday slicers! Worst case, you can use the butt of the Buck to break the ice!Snowpocalypse has hit the UK!![]()

I hope you caught the lousy bum.Spent some time on the phone with ExpressScripts this morning ordering drugs and straightening out a website glitch. For all the criticism ES gets, the two people I spoke with were nice and professional and took care of everything![]()
Going to make a Walmart run, and then to Eagles for a fish lunch and a little pool. New tip on my secondary stick. Necessitated because some dumb**s View attachment 2110869 dropped it the last time and knocked the old tip off View attachment 2110871

Nice choice![]()

Good-looking bunch![]()
The lazer-like low winter sun has taken care of most of it Jeff. Didn't stop the Royal Mail failing to get through thoughThanks my friend
Business was very slow yesterday, and it snowed all day, without settling. Tool Man hadn't brought all his stock, as when the tools get wet, (as they did), they rust, which can mean a day's work. I did get a very nice Skinner & Johnson No3 Long-handled (4ft) Yorkshire Pattern Billhook/Slasher the day before though
Just waiting for the next Peasants Revolt!

And thank you, Bob!Thank you Jeff.
Your totes look mighty fine today..
Nice pair!
My condolences for your family’s loss.Gotta travel up to PA to deal with cleaning/fixing up the father-in-law’s house after his recent passing. This will be my traditional for the week, as I felt it might be the most useful (as long as it doesn’t get pilfered from the luggage).

A fine brace of knives you have there.

JJ, two fine pieces of cutlery you have there. I especially like the Remington.
Thanks for posting that link Gary, very interestingA very cool Toole! I've got a couple of tail-locks. Ron Lake had the patent on the lock. Here's an old Blade Magazine article on it, https://blademag.com/knifemaking/ron-lakes-tab-lock-the-clever-lever/amp.
That's good Kurt, I have nice neighbours tooJack I was worried after checking all day to see when the knife will arrive and then finally the tracking says it is in your mailbox and I open the box to find just a coupon to buy a taco and get one free. I love tacos though. My neighbors are all great and the third neighbor I asked had it. My P.O. is actually pretty good. We got 5.5 inches of rain yesterday so my mail person probably had a hard time reading the address.
Here’s a picture of the pile side:

Impressive pairing David
Yes, I had almost forgotten how hard it is having to deal with a leaking roof my friend. I've been pretty lucky in my current place, only had one small leak, due to a loose slate, in 21 years, but it was different when I was a kid, and a few places I lived as a young adult. I'm glad you have it fixed nowI am relieved to not have to worry about getting wet the next time the hard rains come. I had to find an old friend (retired roofer) to get the job done.
I tracked him down on his farm tractor, way out in the country.
That Hartshead looks rather small compared to that big ole Skinner & Johnson No3 Long-handled (4ft) Yorkshire Pattern Billhook/Slasher.![]()
I think the polish makes a big difference. Great pics, and an outstanding outdoor pairIf its carbon why no patina or rust?
I sanded the handle smooth and put 4 coats of Danish oil on it.
It is so sharp that even though its light and my hand is week/in pain I could chop through this branch in no time, the sharpest knife ive ever owned.
The perfect outdoors knife paired today with a Farmer.

What a great pic Tyson, I'd forgotten you had a martial interestHartshead Barlow and Dykehead Salad Knife (both courtesy ofJack Black ) hanging out with my practice sidesword under the ranunculus.

Amazing!
LOL!Thank you kindly, Jack!
Hmm. I wonder which side of that peasant’s revolt you’ll be on?
Nice score! Handy for revolts or zombie apocalypses, whichever comes first.
