Thanks Bob. I lived in that area for almost three years previously and never made it to that museum. Thanks for the tour Jeremy...very interesting. I did catch your sweet little knife too.
Thanks for your service.
Yes sir, PARCHE was in service during that period and served until she was replaced by JIMMY CARTER. As a fellow musician (self taught hack anyway) it is exciting to see your kids taking an interest in music.Fascinating to read through these and see the history. I know you had to truly enjoy the day. I immediately went into Hunt for Red October mode (which my brother and I watched dozens of times as kids and memorized every word of) thinking about the Parche. That believe that would have been the same era. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jeff, it was certainly interesting. I showed up onboard when she was in Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in 1999, so seeing her with all of the shore services being drum from the brow and scaffolding took me back to my first day onboard.Following in Dad’s footsteps, eh?
I hope you got him his own axe so he doesn’t try to take one of yours!
My middle boy did that as well. They got pretty darned good for high schoolers, even recorded a couple of cds.
Plan for the best, prepare for the worst
The Buck is my car knife. It lives wedged between the seat and console.
A sign of good parenting!
Thanks for the photos! I can only imagine your memories as you stepped aboard your old boat.
Man, that’s rough. My Grandfather had scarlet fever as a boy, and suffered an enlarged heart, which eventually led to congestive heart failure. Thank God for modern medicine! Best for a full and quick recovery.
I’ll bet half of Tennessee has a rolling brownout when that guy turns on all the lights in his little shack
Don’t apologize for sharing your wisdom! I thought it was interesting.
I can go on and on about things nobody else cares to hear.
Love the Navy Jack!
Real pretty bone there!
I hope it works. We don’t need any negative vibes, man.
Unless you’re getting tested for the Wuflu!![]()
Sorry to hear about your tractor, Ed.Tried working on our broke down tractor yesterday. It whipped my arse. Just don't have the juice I used to. Tuckered me out in about two hours. Looks like we might have a new one in the future. Carrying this Snakewood Lambfoot today along with Bunny #525 in my keys pocket. Gonna kick back and watch NASCAR this afternoon. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

It did not have one on it. Seller mentioned to me that all of them did not have a bail included. I asked him the same question.Nice pair Paul ! Did you remove the bail from the engineers knife ?
Had corned beef and cabbage but didn't take a pic. Did however take a pic of our Irish soda bread. Made a little sweeter than the standard recipe, Oh My!If you’re forking down corned beef and cabbage, show pics!
