Braved the cold wind for a walk this afternoon before my Razorbacks took on the Jayhawks.View attachment 2121661View attachment 2121663View attachment 2121664View attachment 2121665View attachment 2121666
The Case Bose Bullnose has really become something special to me.
That is a long lead in to bumping into the real Tony Bose version of the Bullnose. The vendor let me hold it, work the blades, and really handle it. I have to thank Gus Sharp here for being my sounding board. As it was the carbon copy of my beloved Bullnose, it really spoke to me.
Realizing this likely was a once in a lifetime opportunity in my hand, I bit the bullet and did it. Funny thing was, the cost was what I would categorize as beyond absurd, but I went to bed happy with the decision and woke up even more comfortable with it - zero buyer’s remorse, which surprised me. I am going to thin out the safe over the next few weeks to make up the dent in the bank account, but these two will be staying with me to my end days.

Thank you my friend, it's a real shame about the missing images, it's one of the reasons I don't really bother with posting longer threads anymore. Sadly, they are not worth the effort, when the next forum software change displaces the images, and scrambles the text![]()
A definitive pair I must say Mr.P.A NF Viper and a NF Yankee for Sunday.

No need to panic when you ‘see something’ in the Viper’s coat … the time to run is when it sees you …A definitive pair I must say Mr.P.
I started to see something in the vipers coat....but quickly turned and ran.
Hopefully I was mistaken.
I always keep someone with slower reactions than me by my side!No need to panic when you ‘see something’ in the Viper’s coat … the time to run is when it sees you …![]()

I can't find one.You'll probably out-live me anyway.
It is a shame that those history threads get beat up over time. Worth the effort ....... but, not worth the effort.![]()

I don’t care if it has a shackle or not, that’s a fine looking Camillus, Paul!
Oh my, indeed, John. I do believe I’d prefer that over CB ‘n C, anyway.Had corned beef and cabbage but didn't take a pic. Did however take a pic of our Irish soda bread. Made a little sweeter than the standard recipe, Oh My!

Like I said about Mike’s photo, that’s a sweet backdrop for a knife photo.
Congratulations, and cool story!Well, the new one below did not ride in my pocket, but it did ride in my truck yesterday and rode home with me today, never far from hand.
I went to the Texas Blade Show in Fort Worth for the last two days, the first knife show I ever attended. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I met some wonderful knife makers, some well known, some rising stars, some nice collectors, and some nice vendors.
As I have been for awhile now, I carried my Case Bose Bullnose and a Hinderer. While I own quite a few, those two are my usual go to choices. The Case Bose Bullnose has really become something special to me.

You're living well my friendButtermilk is hard to get hold of here for some reason, but I used to make soda bread using cream of tartare as a substitute. It actually works really well, but I lost my recipe in a move some years ago

That is quite the dapper pair Jeff.I thought about something svelte and dapper for church, but nah. These will do again today.
I try to avoid saying “my favorite”, so I won’t say this is my favorite Victorinox. It’s halfstop is not really half. It stops past the halfway point. Weird. But I love this med. lg. size Vic.
