What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wa .... boom !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :oops::oops::oops:🔥🔥💥💥💥⚡⚡;)🤣 ...... with cherries on top !

That old step bolster Keen Kutter Barlow that I tote around pretty often has flush joints like that.
You can thank Tony Bose for bringing that back to life. ;) 😊
You definitely know how to make a statement Mr.P!😊
I hope you shared that nice catch with Elijah J.🤔

Thought this end view of my usual Case is a good view of Case’s nice work. The end is flush and smooth, no sharp edges, just very clean, well done workmanship. Nice to see America still turn out quality. We’ve got some good left in us yet.

Thanks for showing that feature on your Case Bullnose . That is a very nice looking knife too my friend . I think it shows a real attention to detail for a manufacturer to try to do that . As I mentioned previously . GEC also does that on some of their's , specifically the 23's and 73's . Taylor Eye Witness was doing it on some of their Barlows in 2015 also . Attached photo shows a photo that I took in 2015 of a GEC 73 and 2 of the Taylor Eye Witness Barlows . I would like to see more made that way

Thank you and you’re welcome.

Y’all have some beauties. 😊👍

Would be interesting to know when that feature first appeared, would have to guess it goes back a long ways.

Read some of Tony’s comments that he did not invent anything, there were no new ideas in folders, someone had done every idea before, he just brought old ideas and old patterns back to life.

Here is one of his old posts in this forum.

I don't know. But I've seen Bowie knives from the 1800s that had cast handles with inlays in them. The idea was there long ago . Like I said its hard to do something in this business that hasn't been done. That's why I tell people I don't design knives, I bring them back from the grave. If I do something different I draw from the past. We are not curing cancer here folks, it's just a knife.
I’m just happy to see some American companies still alive and doing nice work. I’m happy and proud to carry the Case Bose and also one of Rick Hinderer’s knives everyday.

I've really been enjoying this slim trapper. Might have to get one with nicer covers but they are all stainless so maybe not.

The fixed blade is an overseas made Schrade. Recovered in gabon ebony from cheap rubber and a made a leather sheath to replace the nylon.

Super photo Bart. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd.
Nice new Waynorth, Todd. I really like the proportions on those better than most lambsfoot knives I see.
Your Eureka looks great in ebony!👍
Thank you my friends ! 😍🤣

I found my way to the lake .... late this morning. I cleaned the boat up a bit ...... then fished for a couple hours.
First fish of the season was a nice one: ( that bright green fish gripper protects my hands for cleaning old knives up ) ;) 😊
