Handsome pair Mr. R. 😍
That fancy Boker has a smiling "Moby Dick" and the Kroo's has a prehistoric horned lizard face right up close to the bolster. ............... ....... just sayin'. 🐳🦎
Be careful out there ! 🤣
I can't spot Moby Dick, but I do see the lizard! Nice carry!

I've got a laptop running Windows 10 that whipped my behind yesterday afternoon. I use my desktop running Windows XP as much as possible but less and less support for XP is slowly driving me to 10. It was the "Navigation Pane" and "Preview Pane" in File Explorer that were giving me fits. They just disappeared after a forced, didn't ask for it, update by Windows. I gotta say that those Windows for Dummies books come in handy - in my case, Windows 10 for Dummies. Oh well, it keeps me on my toes and being able to solve my problems yesterday, shows I haven't completely gone down the senileity road just yet. Couldn't keep up with BF because of all the sleuthing so today I'm kicking back and catching up. Bunny #525 is keeping me company today. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Ed, my desktop, and laptop computers worked just fine, but their decision to stop all support for older operating systems has made them useless. Even the companies that make tax software no longer accomodate older systems. I think that’s a blatently evil attempt to sell new stuff.
Okay now, that's a paragraph that demands pics!
Ok! Thanks for asking, my friend.
I pulled it out of my crate of garden tools to take a couple shots. I’m a little chagrined that I put it away muddy, but before I use it, I’ll clean it up, sharpen the blade, and rub some linseed oil into the hickory.
Part of what makes it so strong is the curve in the blade.4246CBDB-0853-464C-9976-434BAD759263.jpeg15A41726-05B7-435A-A5AF-1E1FD8A855A2.jpeg

Baxter Lamb and an English Whittler

I don’t know how old your Baxter is, but to my eyes, the jigging looks done my hand by a real artist. I suggest y’all zoom in to see that detail.
Took a “small” with me today.

That handle looks very appealing. Nice O/U, too!
Thank you my friends ! 😍🤣

I found my way to the lake .... late this morning. I cleaned the boat up a bit ...... then fished for a couple hours.
First fish of the season was a nice one: ( that bright green fish gripper protects my hands for cleaning old knives up ) ;) 😊

Awesome first fish of the season!
If there are any northerns in your lake, hope you have that gripper with you.
Isn't there a rule,
No pictures it doesn't exist😳😄😊
It’s real. I promise!
Birthday gift from my wife!

Happy Birthday!
You’ve chosen well ~ at least in choosing your wife. Which is likely the most important choice a man can make! Or did she choose you? 😁
Dinner is served....cherry glazed salmonView attachment 2158296
Bob, that looks wonderful. We have salmon two or three times a week, and don’t tell Bart Sacto Sacto , but I may like a salmon filet more than a good steak!
I’ve been marinating with an orange ginger sauce, but I’m going to have to try your cherry glaze.
How do you make it?
This just got here today

Gorgeous, my friend.👌
I've really been enjoying this slim trapper. Might have to get one with nicer covers but they are all stainless so maybe not.

The fixed blade is an overseas made Schrade. Recovered in gabon ebony from cheap rubber and a made a leather sheath to replace the nylon.

Nice work!
TC barlow today. I thought of Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund when I took this picture. The duck head lives on a gate handle on one of the pasture gates. Not sure where it came from but it’s been there for years.

I love it! 😃
To paraphrase someone, “Good or bad, ‘tis better to be thought of than not thought of at all”.
Fantastic detail my a skilled cutler, Rob.

Well, just watch your fingers when that Lamb snaps shut, and there won’t be any blood. 🤔
Thanks for the info, Mitch. Wish her luck for me! 🤓
(I bought my first car when I was 17, but I had had my license for over a year and a half by that time - man, that was over 50 years ago!)

We're always hoping for the way things OUGHT to be!

Sounds like words to swing by, Bob!🤓

🤓 IIRC, you started it, Steve!:thumbsup::cool:

Looking forward to seeing your old fish knife when you get past your current busyness, Jeff!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Belated "same to you", Paul. :)

Thanks, Bob. :) Those desert ironwood Guardians knives almost all have outstanding grain!:cool::thumbsup:

Couple of wonderful rehab jobs on those antediluvian knives, Jeff!:cool::cool: I like everything about your pics except the snow.:(

Fantastic AC, Vince! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

That's a very cool "historical" lockback!:thumbsup::cool: That's GW Washington's signature on the blade, right? Took me a while to figure that out, and it also took me a while to find Jack in that first photo.

Thanks, Steve. :) I don't say it every day, but I certainly think that every day about the daily pairs you post!:cool::thumbsup:

Like this one! 😁

Impressive handful of animals, Paul; really like that round-bolstered Blade Forums moose!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I watched the weather radar frequently last weekend, and your pic confirms that WI was getting snow as the radar indicated.

I enjoyed reading info about your favorites, José!:cool::thumbsup:

Sounds like a great day, Mike!:cool::thumbsup:
I haven't had a Reuben in ages! Have to remedy that situation!

Great story, John! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks for some pics showing the secondary blades on your cattle knife; it's a looker!:thumbsup::cool:

That's a supremely handsome blue, curved, lockback Barlow!:thumbsup:😲
I'd love to hear any details about it you're willing to provide.

Superb stag on that lamb!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sorry to read the sad news about your cat who's been with you for so long. :(

It's an international favorite! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Since the bathroom re-model calls, and I’m wiring in a new exhaust fan, an electrician gets the call. In this case, an old Cattaraugus. @Prairie dog used the word svelte. This one is that compared to the usual TL-29. It’s my only Catt folder.0A0EBEA0-058B-4A24-AC45-DECC6A7A6E76.jpegThe plant is Beard Tongue.
The 294 again,6DD09BC0-EDAC-4515-9CAB-51F4B40EE862.jpeg This is the same Columbine I posted a few days ago. It’s bigger. It’s an early bloomer, and has gorgeous flowers. As they start to dry, I shake the tiny black seeds into a pill bottle and sow them in other places.
Also totin this pointy sticky CRKT rendition of a Japanese pattern. The kydex sheath isn’t very traditional, but it is super secure and safe for pocket carry. 01766B93-A45C-4DE0-A536-B1E8776B214B.jpeg6C0729B5-43D0-47A3-8641-C4E9CC8AEE85.jpeg

Jeff, that Catt Trician is a beauty. Schrades are always in style.👍🏻

Planned "obsolesence" at its worse. 😡🤬👎

My Windows Surface tablet (2013 or 2014 edition) works great. However, because Microsoft "forgot" to approve updates (unless MS signed off on a program or App, it won't install. That includes the "latest and greatest" MS operating system, web browser, word processor/office suite ...) effectively making it useful as a paperweight. 😡 I swear at least some of the can't avoid/can't refuse automatically download and install quote/unquote "upgrades" actually turn off software features, and/or corrupt the software so it no longer works. Might even turn off or slow some hardware, too. 😡🤬
Nothing prior to Windows 8 is capable of checking email, it seems, forget about browsing the web. None of my DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 97, ME, and XP desktops, or Windows 7 and 8 laptops will get on line. The browsers are "No Longer Supported" by any websites I frequent. 🤬😡👎

Thanks, Bob!
Remember to eat the cookie and drink the little cup of juice they give you at the Blood Bank. Don’t want you getting lightheaded.
It does make me dizzy....I usually drink plenty before and that helps.
Good luck with the exhaust fan.

1/2 cherry juice ( I add some dried tart cherries)....reduce then
Add 1/3 cup maple syrup, cinnamon stick, dash of vanilla. Simmer.
Baste fish with some of sauce,
save some to pour over before serving.
It never comes out the same...I am always tweeking ingredients.
I will definitely be trying yours Jeff.

We're postponing the Spam and eggs-up this morning and instead saving room for a French Dip sandwich at the Brass Rail Restaurant for lunch so, until we leave, it'll be coffee only. Buck 055 and Bunny 525 will go along for the ride with a single blade Bunny made as a SFO by A. Wright for an Oregon Dealer crowding in too.
