What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Every time I see one of these, I think for s second, "Case finally made a lambsfoot!" Then I remember that the official position of the Guardians is that these aren't quite lambsfootn but are "lambscliffe". :( Either way, they look pretty cool to me.
They look pretty cool to me too, Tyson. And like a lamb, very handy. I’d be happy to see Case do more micarta and carbon steel combos.

Omaha used to be a great city. It is where the bride and I met a little more than 34 years ago. Like most cities it has changed. Not for the better in a lot of areas. Suit means razor. Enjoy your time in Omaha.
I grew up in Omaha. It was a great place to be a kid. We lived at 98th and Center Street. When we moved there in 1961 Center Street was a one lane brick road and we were on the western edge of the city. It now goes out a LOT farther. It was a great place to grow up in but after college I moved on and have no regrets. 😀

Those came out good! Did some of the knives have carbon blades? Would imagine something crazy happening to the color of the blade if it’s carbon steel, but haven’t seen or heard of anyone actually trying it
All stainless for these knives for this run. I haven’t tried any carbon, so I’ll defer to Bob. 👍🏼. Thanks for the compliment my friend!

Yes, I do. I also enjoy these mini series. What could be the next Johnny on the spot knife/pattern?
Swayback Loom Fixer?
Fisherman’s Knife?
That’s all I’ve got. 🤔
Speaking of voracious vermin, do you have any experience taking on urban ground hogs (aka woodchucks aka whistle pigs)?

Really like the grain on the wood of your rope knife, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary. Good ‘ol American Black Walnut with just enough swirl to not be plain.

Groundhog? Really greasy. Don’t recommend.

Glad vet was able to help Whiskey out. Glad he is recovering

Are you two suggesting I go strapped?
Hope it doesn’t fall out on the dance floor while we’re teachin the punk kids how to dance.

Absolutely, but try to be somewhat discreet! 😜

Happy Weekend Porchlanders! Sorry I haven't been around in a minute, missed seeing your knives and showing mine. My excuse is I got really sick with some bronchial stuff (non-Covid, according to those tests I don't much trust), then got really broke and had no time for "knife fuss" as I call this part of my life. So here's the photo dump, been busy so there's not that much;

Back in April, may have contracted illness on this day at Union Station. We randomly met Mahomes and I got a chance to thank him for building a fancy park in my ghetto, just like the ones in the rich part of town. I don't give a hoot for any sportsball, but Patrick is a swell guy and we're lucky to have him here!

Last day before I went nearly bedridden. Check out the fiber optic pins on that Childress. Duck's aesthetic rules!

A few weeks later, must have at least been leaving the house that day as I sported my favorite fixed blade

A wooden Wednesday. You know what makes my knives look big? My other knives!

And the second I got out of money trouble, I got right back in on the exchange 😈 Zero regrets here. I'm just happy that all knives look the same to my wife, and that she thinks a high end handbuilt knife is anything over a hundred bucks. 🤣

Glad to hear you're on the mend, some great knives there
Welcome back, Jack!
Thanks buddy :)
Quality pair my friend  :)
We all went out for a hike on a new-to-us trail this morning. I had the Case Trapper in my pocket, and (due to a specific request by my wife to "bring a big knife") the Saddle Mountain on my belt.

We did not need the "big knife" (no rabid coyotes, no rabid fellow hikers), but half a mile along or so, Whiskey got a foxtail wedged up his nose, so we had to hurry back to the truck and take him to the doggie ER. While we waited for that to get sorted (we love our vet ER, although I'd be really happy to never need to go there again), we took Lacey to hang out at a local dog park. We'll try that hike again another day.

The offending foxtail:

Whiskey (recovering) on the left, Lacey (hoping for more snacks) on the right.

I like your wife's style Tyson! :D Sorry to hear about Whiskey's mishap, and hope she's fully recovered today :)
Cool pic Jeff :cool :)
I toted my favorite old pruner from Landers, Frary, & Clark and my Dogshead Kabar the past two days. 😊

Very nice Mr P :)
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

I hope you had a Happy Double Lambsfoot Day on your first full day back home; those two marvelous beauties look awesome together, as well! :D:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you very much JJ :)
I've been toting these two stag covered slicers today. :)
That's a superb photo of that nicely matched pair my friend :)

Have a great Sunday folks

I like to throw it edge first on top of a juice steak 🥩😎

cooked the argentinian way? Asado? How do the Brazilians do steak? I watched a video about how the gauchos cooked meat, now I wonder what the Brazilians do, to get it on that stake and cut it off in long thin slices.

Cooked the North American way on a cast iron skillet 4 minutes per side 😉

Traditional Argentine beef is leaner with less marbling, grass fed in the Pampas.
It is roasted very slowly over coals outside.

I will relearn this tradition this summer 👍😎

If my grandma saw the pink colour inside my steak she would not have allowed me to eat it 😊

That meal looks fantastic. I still on my first cup(28 oz) of coffee thinking how nice a steak and veggie would be for supper.

Perfect way to cook it. Just knock hide and horns off, wave a bic lighter under it and slap it on a plate.

What's that long knife under the very cool hat in the last picture?
It looks like my modelo 1909.
