Glad to see you back, FC and glad you’re doing better. Nice to see your fantastic knives as well.Happy Weekend Porchlanders! Sorry I haven't been around in a minute, missed seeing your knives and showing mine. My excuse is I got really sick with some bronchial stuff (non-Covid, according to those tests I don't much trust), then got really broke and had no time for "knife fuss" as I call this part of my life. So here's the photo dump, been busy so there's not that much;
Back in April, may have contracted illness on this day at Union Station. We randomly met Mahomes and I got a chance to thank him for building a fancy park in my ghetto, just like the ones in the rich part of town. I don't give a hoot for any sportsball, but Patrick is a swell guy and we're lucky to have him here!

Last day before I went nearly bedridden. Check out the fiber optic pins on that Childress. Duck's aesthetic rules!

A few weeks later, must have at least been leaving the house that day as I sported my favorite fixed blade

A wooden Wednesday. You know what makes my knives look big? My other knives!

And the second I got out of money trouble, I got right back in on the exchangeZero regrets here. I'm just happy that all knives look the same to my wife, and that she thinks a high end handbuilt knife is anything over a hundred bucks.

A couple of beauties, Jon. I love that wood on the Case.
Thanks, Gary. Yeah, they ride on it all the time…until they get all wet or muddy, then they’re on their own.Splendid knife, Bart!
Do the dogs get to ride the ATV sometimes, or do they just enjoy sitting on it while it's parked?

Busy time of year but fun. I had to miss my daughter’s last race and medal ceremony to get my son to his game, at least I saw her first three races. Hope you got your lawn tractor problem worked out.Sounds like fun, Bart! My wife and DIL were at our Grandaughter'dance recital. My son had the two boys running between baseball games and soccer matches! I was home with a lawn tractor problem so missed it all.
Good hiking knives, Tyson. I always hate when I’m out with my dogs and suddenly one of them starts sneezing constantly. I saw some people hiking last weekend and their dogs had mesh bags over their heads, I assume to stop foxtails. We all went out for a hike on a new-to-us trail this morning. I had the Case Trapper in my pocket, and (due to a specific request by my wife to "bring a big knife") the Saddle Mountain on my belt.

We did not need the "big knife" (no rabid coyotes, no rabid fellow hikers), but half a mile along or so, Whiskey got a foxtail wedged up his nose, so we had to hurry back to the truck and take him to the doggie ER. While we waited for that to get sorted (we love our vet ER, although I'd be really happy to never need to go there again), we took Lacey to hang out at a local dog park. We'll try that hike again another day.
The offending foxtail:

Whiskey (recovering) on the left, Lacey (hoping for more snacks) on the right.

Thanks, Jack. Whiskey seems to be back to his usual goofy self this morning, so I assume that the sedative has worn off, and adrenalin reserve is restored.I like your wife's style Tyson!Sorry to hear about Whiskey's mishap, and hope she's fully recovered today

Yeah, he was sneezing and flailing around and spraying blood everywhere out of his nose. I don't know if you could tell in the pic I posted, but that foxtail was close to three inches long.Good hiking knives, Tyson. TW glad to hear your pup is ok.Thanks, Jack. Whiskey seems to be back to his usual goofy self this morning, so I assume that the sedative has worn off, and adrenalin reserve is restored.

The crazy thing is that we have foxtails in our backyard, and the dogs run through them chasing each other and squirrels and whatever else all the time, and all we have to do is pick a few off their coats. But we go on a hike somewhere with him on-leash and on thr trail, and he promptly get one lodged in his nose.
We've been working on knocking down the foxtails in our yard, but the priority for that just went way up. The whole section will get sheet mulched soon.
Gracias amigoThat meal looks fantastic. I still on my first cup(28 oz) of coffee thinking how nice a steak and veggie would be for supper.
Perfect way to cook it. Just knock hide and horns off, wave a bic lighter under it and slap it on a plate.
I don’t know Jer.What's that long knife under the very cool hat in the last picture?
It looks like my modelo 1909.
I bet that makes a great throwing knife, Dan!
