Really like the photo with the shadow!Happy Friday friends! The 15 and the shiny new beautiful 54 have been in the pockets.
I saved this little guy from our shop; injured wing but still alive. Placed him back outside.

Interesting info about the difference between dairy and beef cattle treatment....
The paste works on dairies because you pull the calves off of the cows at birth. On a beef operation where the calves are nursing you can’t use the paste because it will rub off on the cow’s udder which they don’t appreciate. It’s easiest to just not have horns in the first place and luckily there are good beef breeds without horns. Calves with horns get discounted when they sell because they will bruise other cattle in the feedlot.
Exemplary ebony pairs, Steve and Jeremy!...
Black Friday for me today with these beauties.

Barrett, I'm fond of knife-on-post photos, but I also have a thing for knife-at-baseballfield shots!...
I’ve been carrying my Albers Lambsfoot a lot lately, and today I’ve had Merle with me as well. (Merle just finished up his travels, and I sort of wrapped things up in the this post.)

Case Trapper & Opinel No. 8. My workhorses.
Welcome back, FC; glad your lungs and wallet are feeling better!Happy Weekend Porchlanders! Sorry I haven't been around in a minute, missed seeing your knives and showing mine. My excuse is I got really sick with some bronchial stuff (non-Covid, according to those tests I don't much trust), then got really broke and had no time for "knife fuss" as I call this part of my life. So here's the photo dump, been busy so there's not that much;

Notable pair of knives, Bob; I admire the edge on that big Wharncliffe blade!Good morning everyone...
Gotta honor or thank our mom's this weekend. Seems they raised a great group of ladies and gents here.View attachment 2184048
Nice bone/jigging on that harness jack!S&M HJ1 today, minor cleaning and organizing some clutter in the office. Ordered a knife this morning, and have one out for delivery, so I've got that going for me.

Don Hanson III, Sunfish Forge Fat Penny Trapper.
Great-looking dye jobs, Jon!I’ve been tinkering this morning. I got some Fiebings Pro Dye in Chocolate and have been cooking knives. I started with these three to test. The Buck and Remington were from the Giveaway Box. I’ve always wanted to experiment on them. I tossed the copperhead in there as well just to see if I could get a slightly unique look on the antique bone.

Then I got to the one I really wanted to work on. This red trapper was always a bit too one note for me. Hopefully the color holds. Straight into the pocket for some chores.

Barrett, I'm fond of knife-on-post photos, but I also have a thing for knife-at-baseballfield shots!(I'm assuming your Albers lamb is on the outfield fence, but the backstop seems pretty short off in the distance.)
Welcome back, Jack!
I hope your trip was enjoyable and instructive.

I rarely use that phrase, but every time I hear it I smile because of the Dalai Lama story in Caddyshack.

Please tell Coco that Lacey and Whiskey send their best! Hope she has a good day today.Nothing much happening today. Coco slipped and collapsed on the back stairs coming in the house last night. She's fighting a torn ACL and she's weak in the haunches. Too old for surgery so we're working with her the best we can. Minced sausage and eggs for breakfast and out to the yard for I don't know what yet. NASCAR later. It's a single blade Sowbelly day for sure.
