Nice Queen barlow..and sweet grain on your '19 Steve.
Of course Jer, on both countsYou probably recognized the Brexit reference.
Can't enlarge uon it without risking being deemed political, of course.
Nice combo Jeff. I do hope Uncle Lloyd had some time away from farming when retired.Visiting some of Mes Fleschwund’s family in South Dakota. Posed my knives outside of the old farrowing shed at the farm.
When Uncle Lloyd was still alive, his hogs were the last to go after retiring from dairy cows and row crops.View attachment 2193383View attachment 2193384
I'm seeing double, and it's delightful! One of these guys is going in the pocket today… Decisions decisions

I'm not a good sharpener, but I haven't done anything like that (yet)!Someone was very angry when sharpening this Robeson !View attachment 2190779
That beautiful 85 seems to be giving you superpowers: able to leap fences at a single bound, able to pluck iron spike right out of railroad ties!Celebrating Joseph’s 13th birthday exactly the way he wants to do it…spotting trains. Came down to Atlanta to watch a bunch come through this CSX/Norfolk Southern junction. Dad may or may have not jumped the fence to snag a souvenir birthday present railroad spike.

That Queen "improved muskrat" is cool!Needed some stainless steel for this rainy day. Queen Hawbaker Special and a Joseph Rodgers Lamb.

Jack, I'd have agreed with you 10 years ago, but there are some recent days during which I can believe that I'm actually "eleventy-one" years old (2023 - 1912 = 111), as Bilbo Baggins stated his age during his birthday party at the beginning of The Fellowship of the Rings, and claimed he felt "thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped across too much bread".)No way you were born in 1912 Gary!![]()

You have my sympathy for having to put Coco down.We came home about 1:30 this afternoon to find Coco at the bottom of the back porch steps laying on the sidewalk. Her haunches being what they are, she could barely get up and couldn't stand for more than a few seconds. I told Cindy; "that's it, I'm calling the vet. The vet took us in right away and we had her put Coco down. No more pain or suffering. She was looking Cindy and I in our eyes as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure you guys/gals/youngsters won't mind if I don't include a picture of a knife in this post.

I wouldn't have asked you THAT question, Tyson. I'd have asked, "But why 2 knives with CLIP point blades?? Why??"Befuddled, you query, "But why two knives with the same type of blade, Tyson? Why?"
Handsome knife, but that name is such an oxymoron IMHO!Case single-blade stockman along for the walk today.
I always like seeing your 2-blade '47, Bart!Case pen knife today.![]()
Tremendous trio of Case stockman examples, Jer, all with round bolsters!...
I forget what red they called that, but I was surprised to find it on their specials page. I'll carry old Cherry-pits today, and that's probably enough.
That red (?) stag looks fantastic against your saddle, LT!
You could probably even use the can opener (and maybe wire stripper?) to do some emergency castrating if you had to!Thanks GaryI hadn't thought of it, but yeah, a cattle knife with a screwdriver/bottle opener and a wire stripper. A Cattleman's De-Lux

We have feral hogs here in Missouri. The Department of Conservation (DOC) considers them a pest and invasive so they want them gone. At one point it was open season -shoot them if you see them. DOC now doesn't want anybody hunting them, apparently because the hogs get so smart nobody (i.e. DOC) can find them to eradicate them. Every other species gets hunted to the brink of extinction without controlled hunting seasons, but apparently the hogs thrive
Pretty wily hogs
I personally don't know anybody that's ever seen one, although the damage done by them has been documented.
Thanks GT, I feel the same way. I love my classic 110 but I’m really enjoying the fresh releases Buck has been doing on all of their classic knives. This one with nickel silver bolsters and S30V steel is no exception!
That pouch looks good, and it looks very useful!New Pouch came in the other day. Fits this pair quite well! Happy Saturday porch friends!

I admire your wisdom!Thank you good sir. I’ve slimmed down the stables well enough now that most everything matches everything else. I’m the same way with clothes- the less complexity, the less I can mess up!
Oops!True, but sorry…
I simply meant boar coon, as in male.![]()
Prestigious pair of knives, Jack!Yes indeed!![]()
LOL!I think I was 5 when we got our first refrigerator, and I can remember running home from school, excited to see it!
I was telling a younger feller about it once, and he thought it was hilarious. I told him that some of our neighbours ran round to see it too!
