• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Back at work with these two today. The 86 is a recent pickup from bigfish64 bigfish64 . Thanks Todd!

You’re welcome my friend. Looking forward to seeing pictures of it in its new home.
😎👍

G'd morning Jeff. Love your seedum, and two very useful knives today. May I enquire about the covers on the Cammy TL? Never seen those before, is it delrin or ?
Thanks, FC!, and you certainly may.
I cut those scales out of one of those sections of cowbone that you find shrinkwrapped and barcoded, and hanging on a peghook in the dog treat aisle.
Tried my hand at jigging with my Dremel, and dyed it with Rit dye in a saucepan.

This Grohmann Lockback today :

That’s really nice! Do not recall seeing it before.
Love that version Harry. In addition to the Rosewood Lockback I’ve been carrying since returning from NS, I also picked up the stag version of the No. 2 Bird & Trout. Great knives coming from our Canadian neighbors!!View attachment 2232129View attachment 2232130
And this one is really nice as well.

Thank you very much JJ, things were certainly very different in Sheffield before WWI. Yes, the KK, is slightly smaller, well observed :)

Love those two beauties, the clawed bone is one of nicest bone covers in Queen's vast and glorious repertoire! ;) The Alpers are amazing pieces, albeit "UnObtanium" for me as I don't have the "super hacker" Tab...o_O ;)

My wife has been traveling on and off for work the last couple of weeks and I haven’t had much time to spend on the forum. Who knew she did so much? (We all knew 😁).
A few delayed reactions:
Thanks Bart...let the copper patina begin.
Looks like you have some great skate parks out west.
One can never go wrong with a knife like your trapper.
Thanks Bob. When I was skating as a kid there were none, now we have them everywhere which is really fun.
Great photo Bart. The WT is a gorgeous knife.
😎👍
Thanks Todd, I’m still carrying it a lot.
So you’re an RC? Reverse Commuter…
Speaking of being an Urban Cowboy, I found a clip of you from one night at Gilleys!

Yes, I live in the city, so I go against the traffic whichever way I go. Haha! Looks like you found the old home movie when I was younger and more handsome 😁
Meant to tell you, nice 'stash Bart - stay sharp!
Thanks, FC. Great selection of knives again 👍

Toting some micarta and metal today. :)
I always enjoy seeing this pair my friend, and it's a great pic  What a pair to have out in the woods :) I hope you can get out with them JJ :)

Carrying my Hartshead Barlow, and a Random Tuesday Candle-end Jack from Wheatley Brothers of Sheffield :) Have a good day everyone

So far so good! Hope you make the most of yours as well. Could you kindly tell me a little more about this lovely and functional looking knife, please?

Right back atchya Bob 👋 Mine started great, a fresh splitback sure helps 😁

I see why you fell for that Paul, love the bone and jigging, and the notched liner ices the cake. Nice seeing you around again lately!
Hi
Thank you. this is a small knife by Gregory Picard (slipjoint - micarta handle - handle length: 9.4 cm - total length: 17.2 cm - handle thickness: 12mm - weight: 77g - RWL34 steel - blade length: 7.7 cm - blade thickness: 3mm )
Beautifully finished and fitted, very good ergonomics like all Greg's knives, despite its small size the grip is perfect.
