What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Always a pleasure my friend :) I suspect that even Diane Keaton may have aged, just a little :thumbsup:

Sorry for messing with you Gary ;) :thumbsup:

Many many thanks for the kind words mon amie :) :thumbsup:
I appreciate our interactions, Jack. :thumbsup::thumbsup: 🤓

I hope there is no test following this; at least make it true or false, if one is coming soon.😆
🤓 Not planning a test, Bob, but if I get a sudden urge, are you OK with true-false in an always-sometimes-never true format?

Sowperb sowbelly! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

That sounds like quite a nice treat, Gary! :cool: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Thanks, JJ; I'm quite pleased with my new French knives! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I’m in the mountains for a few days relaxing with the family. I brought my bunny knife with me.

Looks like a great spot to relax, Bart! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

High-quality knives, Jack, and interesting backgrounds in your pics! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Two knives from two fine gentlemen today. Dwight- fodderwing, thanks for the Winchester once again.👍🏻
Paul-jakeywax31,you blew me away again.👌 This trapper is a perfect fit. I cannot thank you enough. It will find plenty of carry time.View attachment 2233672
Congrats on the grand gift knives, Bob, and accolades to Dwight and Paul for their thoughtful generosity! :thumbsup::cool::cool:
That Winchester looks somewhat similar to the 2023 Blade Forums knife.

I like that fetching "Memphis Belle" SAK! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
I want to get one of those "airplane" SAKs, but I can never make up my mind among the Warthog, Warhawk, and Memphis Belle.

Speaking of the Schrade 18OT you found at the antique store, which your better half promptly confiscated, here’s that little guy that glennbad generously gave me.

Schrade Walden 766 skillfully re-hafted in dark stag.
Looking into this model, I found that Schrade called it a Wharncliffe.
That's a stag stunner, Jeff! :thumbsup::thumbsup:😲

Enjoying this one. Thanks, @JohnDF !
Your Carhartt mini trapper is a classy knife, Vince, and John's a classy guy! He sent me one very similar to that; much appreciated. :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Got these two beauties in the pocket today.

The jigged bone WCLF is sublime! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I fear the orange and black clashes with the red. So the SAK in right pocket, Case in left, knipex on the belt.

That "tiger canoe" is a real attention-grabber! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Striking whittler! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Quite an interesting trio of knives Gary. Each one have virtues which are appealing in their own way.
I really like your choice with regards to the Le Thiers. Congrats.👌
Well done Gary, those are beautiful! 😎👍
Wonderful additions, Gary. :thumbsup:
Congratulations on the new arrivals Gary, 3 interesting knives
Bob, Todd, Vince, and Jack, I appreciate your compliments. :)

Thank you Gary, I always appreciate your kind words !
You're welcome, Steve; I always look forward to seeing what you'll post! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Good morning all, I hope Thursday treats you well.
A new Hibbard discovery.

That splendid pair is an effective wake-up call in the morning, Bob! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Congrats on the heavenly Hibbard; must be close to Your Very Best! ;)

I pulled open the drawer full of cigar boxes, and pulled the two Cases out of my pocket, and realized I didn’t want or need to swap for something else. That often happens with this Trapper.View attachment 2234831

I restrained myself from commenting the first day you carried them, but I can't ignore them 2 days in a row: wonderful pair of wood Case knives! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I like those laminated Opinels, GT. I got one of the red ones a while back, and I think I might have to go back and order one in brown, too. :thumbsup: (I still wish they’d offer some of their more interesting handle materials with carbon steel blades, but oh well.)

I thought I had a lead on an “Opignel” like the one you have with the old design (just the three boars, rather than the new one with a whole landscape). It was an Italian site with reasonable enough international shipping. I emailed them to check if the knife would, in fact, be the one with the old design shown on their website, but they replied saying the knives they had in stock were the new design, they just hadn’t updated the image on their site. 🫤
Thanks, Barrett. :) I'm very happy with the laminated birch I received, but I'd have preferred "carbone", too. But my Opignel is Inox, and I haven't noticed much difference between the performance of Opinel carbon and stainless, although I haven't really used the Inox Opignel very much.

That's a vibrant vintage pair! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I don't know much about Moki knives, but they sure make some great-looking models! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I know it’s not Wednesday but I love these two. 😎👍View attachment 2235633
I can see why, Todd; worthy wood! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

My pleasure Gary. Glad to see you're carrying them and getting some use out of them.

Looks like a great time. Last time I was in Clemson was the mid 90's. Also the last time I worked at ONS.
I was there from ‘97 to ‘01. Mind blowing how much has been added and updated. A couple of football national championships doesn’t hurt for growth.

Thanks kindly Jack. I hope you had a great visit at the market.

Glad Joseph is living the high life Jon. Very nice TC.
Last time I was at Clemson was '69 visiting high school classmate....that's when Kansas knew how to field teams.😁
Thanks! He had the best time. My daughter said that the food was meh…but Joseph thought it was 5 star dining 😂.

1969 you say…well that’s 3 championships ago. But the place still has the small town feel and is a beautiful university to visit.

Great pics Jon! :D :) :thumbsup:

Thanks buddy, been fun :D :) :thumbsup:
Thanks Jack! It was a fun week.

Yer gonna sleep like a champ tonight, Jon.
Joseph is a wonderful kid🤙

Back in ‘79, my girlfriend, now wife, still had one semester to finish up after I graduated, so I used to take my guitar and backkack and hitch hike from Oswego to Champaign Urbana ~ a three hour drive. It could take 12 or 15 rides, or I’d get lucky and a trucker would take me all the way. Good times. Good luck trying that today.
Haven’t been back to U of I since. Guess I moved on…
You are correct sir…came home and crashed. Kids had a great time. Very successful camp.

I don’t think this generation will have any concept of hitchhiking. It will be something they have to read about in books 😎.
It’s always a good day to be a Tiger!! I’m not an alum, but I have 2 kids that are. A special, special place!!
Yessir! You know! No doubt we have a gem here in the Upstate.

That is true. All the media attention does not hurt.
Joseph knows good food

I will go with maybe/ maybe not.

Thanks for your gracious comments Gary.
Now that you mention it, the Winchester has some of the lines of the forum knife.

It turns out the Hibbard is well preserved and an enjoyable carry.

Have a great 4th.
