What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Love the jigging on this one Bob! Hope your holiday weekend is as fine as your carries. :)

I'm with Jeff, major score! To me, aged smooth bone is the classiest look there is on a Jack. Also I'm a spearhead so this really rings my bell 🛎️

That Robeson bone is suh-weet, yesiree! Dig your Cannondale too, looks like a nice place to ride?

I slipped this one in my pocket slip last night, the 59 is my favorite little multi-blade folder by miles, cannot get over this one - don't want to.
Happy Holiday weekend to stateside porchers!
Thanks FC. Hope you get some rain to clear the skies. Starting to like those green boned sharp thingies.👌

Here is the final trio of knives I've been carrying this week, all of which have come to me this calendar year. (Tomorrow I'll get back to my regular weekly rotation schedule - except everything has been pushed back a week due to my "Knives of 2023" deviation.)

The first knife I obtained in 2023 was a Chinese Schrade 5OT I ordered from Tractor Supply. I had been looking at it on their website for quite a while, and even though there was no indication on the website, I was quite sure that it was the 5OT model with a new style of shield. But for some reason it was never available at my nearest TSC store!?! Finally, in February it became available, although the price was $3 higher than it had been selling for. So I ordered it, and when I went to pick it up one day in March, I saw that they had a whole bin full of them near the front of the store for the old lower price. Oh, well.
As you can see, the package confirmed my opinion about what model the knife is:

Modoc ED Modoc ED recently sent me a bunch of knives, 6 of which I posted the previous 2 days in this thread. He also sent me this Coal Miner black jigged bone Half Hawk, a very fine RR model:

ED had told me he was sending me seven RR knives, but when the package arrived, I found he had "snuck" an additional knife into the USPS Flat Rate box to completely fill it! It's a unique (IMHO) Moore Maker full-sized trapper Model 5202LL (made by Queen in 2009); it has a liner lock for the clip blade. The blades are mirror-polished 1095, I think, and, after some research online, I'm quite sure the covers are called smooth black bone, although it usually looks dark brown to me, and even purplish in some light. (For some reason, I struggled to get decent photos of this knife. o_O) My first Moore Maker, and I think my first knife made by the USA version of Queen. It also has a normal Moore Maker shield on the mark side AND a blank shield on the pile side. One of my pics below is for ED, showing off the lid of my recycling bin as a platform for the trapper. ;)

Glad the Moore Maker is to your liking Gary 5K Qs 5K Qs . The covers are indeed Smooth Black Bone. The trash bin makes a good background for it. :)
