Thanks for the kind words, Jon. Nice pair yourself my friend. That’s a whole lotta goodness right there Paul. Great combo.
John it did take quite a journey and as I recall the timing was perfect!
I had a very lucky stop at a random liquor store this afternoon while out of town.

New (to me) medium stockman Calf Roper.
Thank you Jon! I'm very particular about a clip shape, but this Stonehocker nails it. Still haven't managed to keep/carry a clip point folder since the Buck of my youth, your 44 was the closest I came. I love the patina coming in on her, and your Viper is a perfect companion. Now that I think of it - brass, copper, 1095, bronze - I just love patina. Metal can improve with age just like us, right?Love this pair. The clip shape on the fixed is. I don’t recognize the mark…but I know I like it. Copper and black is always gonna be a winner.
Thank you very kindly, Jack!!!A classic pairing my friend![]()

Cool sleeveboard, Bob!Mabel needed some accessorizing today.View attachment 2243690
Looks to be in really nice shape. The lamb recover you had with it isn’t too shabby eitherThanks Bart. It’s relatively new to the stable. A 31 1/2 and it’s extremely well made. The handle material has started to shrink, I guess, and there’s a gap between them and the bolster, but it’s at least as old as I am and in way better shape!
It’s in the pocket again today. View attachment 2243875
Thanks Todd!Calendar shot right there.![]()
They were small but definitely bigger than they look in the picture. Big enough to recognize the players I knew and big enough for $5. Dollar tickets at Wrigley sounds amazing!Cool photo of the ballpark, Bart! The players look quite small through the camera lens; do they look bigger to the naked eye while you're watching the game? I was amazed to read later that you got $5 tickets to a MLB game!
I watched a July 5, 1974 Cubs-Braves doubleheader from the left field bleachers at Wrigley Field. The bleacher seats cost only a buck but that was 49 years ago!
