Really like the fake stag on your Craftsman whittler!
David, I saw your photo in 2 threads, and it was only the second time that I saw it that I realized the blade was open on the knife on the left! These today

Lotta good wood in that photo, Steve!
Thanks, Jeremy....
A fine looking pair of knives, GT.
Going with a pair of straight edged blades today.

Celebrating in style; cherish the Churchill!
Thanks for the Solar info, Jack!...
There was a time when enterprising Americans went to Japan to get knives made up, rather than China, and Solar was one of the names used, a bit like Rough Rider today, but this is long before the internet. If you compare the knives to Parker Cut Co, for example, or the scandalous Japanese-made IXL Barlows, you'll see the connection![]()
Capable Canoe!

Our dog seems unpredictable, especially with fresh fruits and vegetables. He almost never wants apple chunks, he spits out slices of baby carrots if he thinks they're too old, and this week he's even been finicky about broccoli stems and pieces of green pepper, which he used to NEVER refuse. We bought fresh pumpkins one time and sliced and dehydrated them for her; she loved them! All those veggies/fruits mentioned are supposed to be good for the dogs as well as being low calorie. Loretta also loves fried crappie filets, but I’m not so sure those are so good for her. We’re supposed to get her Friday to keep for a week while our daughter and son-in-law go on vacation, so we need to get a supply of vegetables ready.

Outstanding, Jeff!Grabbed my favorite b&m peanut this evening to go out, and reminded myself of what a stellar piece of cutlery it is. This 70+ year old celluloid hasn't even thought about gassing, the F&F of the covers to bolsters is near perfect. 6 pulls, smooth, crisp and snappy!

Thanks, Gary. Yep, still not sure how I got to this age so quickly. I always thought medicare was for old people, not ME!

Black Beauties for sure!
Thanks for the information, José; I'd have never figured out on my own what that tool was for!Thank you, Gary.
This tool is for the studs on footballers' boots.![]()

Come on, Greg! Give us the details! Down in the muck in a horse stall? Cushion in the La-Z-Boy? Doen between the car seat and the console?View attachment 2253920View attachment 2253922View attachment 2253921
I toted this knife last week and lost it! What a sick feeling. Thankfully, I found it this morning. I will tote it more carefully today. Have a blessed day everyone.
Never seen any predators chasing Japanese Beetles. But I see they like the wild grapevines, and Hollyhocks, so I use them as decoys. Harry’s right about soapy water ~ it blocks their air intakes. I use Neem oil on food plants, though.Thank you kindly Harry. I believe the beetles are under control. I wish the birds from our bird houses would feast on them.
Be well.
Bob
They were made to be used! I always feel bad when I take them our at the end of the day to clean and oil them, and realize I’d never used one.I just noticed that the mice had been playing while the cat was away. Don't know how I missed these the other day ......... but, given time ...... I noticed !![]()

We thought about "endeavor to persevere" for a long time. Then we declared war. This one and wishing the best for the Ontario folks losing their jobs

I've been a fan of Old Hickories since 1980 or thereabouts.

Info found on all those pages will not be on the final exam.Carried this today. Queen City mini trapper. After being on vacation for two weeks and then playing catch-up with stuff around the house this week I thought I might take some time to get caught up on this thread.
After looking I’m 93 pages behind so I might need to either work on it this week or just forget about the ones I missed.View attachment 2254185
