Emergency and dentist should not be in the same sentence. Hope they fixed it.I had to go into town for an emergency dentist appointment.
Some sights here and there.
You can watch the lady's making cakes through the window, they are highly skilled.
Browns Café was featured in the TV series Endeavour.
In the outdoor market I bought 2 Allman brothers vintage LPs,a knife not sure if butter or Paper and a old copy of the seven pillars of wisdom (tried to read it once and gave up will try again).
On the way home I met some European and one Aussie Scooter Tramps on the way to Wales, note the flip flops bungeed to the forks.
Oh and the oil all over our newly laid paving slabs.

What was the second? I about wore that one out. As well as Eat A Peach, and the Brothers And Sisters albums, picking up the needle and replaying the guitar licks, guitar in hand, driving my roommates crazy.
I think our Fall weather is like your Summer weather! I did go once to California around Independence Day. Stayed in Oceanside near San Diego, and took a day trip to LA (drove around Beverly Hills and saw the La Brea tar pits). Really gorgeous weather for Summer. The Bladeforums Barlow is the knife that made me love Barlow’s and the #86 pattern. I have enjoyed this knife very much, and to me, it’s a knife that represents the very best of the knife community. What makes this hobby so enjoyable for me is the community so for me to own a knife that I find aesthetically phenomenal and the fact that it was a collective effort by Bladeforums members to choose these materials and then to have this “S” version made available and shipped to me by the legendary Charlie Campagna makes it one special knife.
It’s a beautiful sunny summer day here in Los Angeles. I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys summertime. My favorite season of the year!

Peter that is a beautiful knife but the temperature in socal is a bit too high for me. Last time I checked it was a cool 65 degrees at my humble abode. Thank you my friend
I'm not a big fan of the knife (maybe because I didn't have one...) but I'll take the beans...Yes. I concur on that knife and what it represents.
And you’ll not be hearing me complaining about the weather no matter what season it is. It’s all nature’s glory.
Speaking of decent Blade Forums knives, I’m giving this one a fair workout. Strange that I first was disappointed it was not 86 size. Then I compared it to some of my all time favorites, my Voos Jacks, Grandpa’s old Camillus EO Jack, and the WWII Navy Utility Jacks, and whaddaya know? Same size.
Let’s see if wax beans will produce any kind of patina. The pressure canner is hot and waiting.View attachment 2275707
And, the result. Six quarts for the pantry. The pressure canner holds seven quarts, but the bottom broke out of oneView attachment 2275715
Just one cycle, as opposed to spending the whole day in the kitchen doing batch after batch. Got those beans trimmed up, into the jars, and in the canner while keeping an eye on the grill, then 25 minutes processing time starting when the jiggler started jiggling. Lots more beans out there for another day.
There will be some all day canning sessions soon, when I make salsa and homemade V8 juice. But the tomatoes are still green, and the peppers are still small.
It was eat peach I havent listened to it before so I hope its good. What was the second? I about wore that one out. As well as Eat A Peach, and the Brothers And Sisters albums, picking up the needle and replaying the guitar licks, guitar in hand, driving my roommates crazy.
Whatever is spinning should sound fantastic out of that setupThis will keep my pocket happy for awhile.( bleached kudu). No gardening, no honey do's. Maybe some Allman Brothers, Jethro Tull, Stones Lps.and always someone like Blind Willie McTell.View attachment 2275845View attachment 2275846
