I wish I’d bought the Wards Cattle I followed on the ‘bay a few years ago, the bone was gorgeous. Probably why the bidding went crazy.
Always like seeing yours…same for that Ulster Jack, and your sweet Camillus Trapper Jack!
Thanks for your kind words, Jack!!!You have great taste my friend, those two are terrific![]()

Great photos and good looking herd of cattle
Thanks guys. Part of our cattle go up to southern Oregon for the summer. There’s someone up there that takes care of them but I go up to help with the gathering, processing, shipping, etc. Thought I would give you a glimpse of the less-urban side of our cattle operation. Thanks for showing us some of the work of real life cattle ranching! Fine looking animals.
Thanks FC. I think shipping costs would kill our trade transactionThanks Bart, but it's the way it is - my job is seasonal so I gotta make hay now, don't want to go all winter hungry. Speaking of, your cows are looking mighty fine, I'd love to have one in my freezer. You trade for fixed blades?
Thanks. It’s a relief he won’t need surgery. The first thing everyone that knows us asks is “skating?”Glad to hear your boy's wrist ought to heal up. It would be cooler if he'd done it skating though.
I love seeing that one. Such smooth lines![]()
Have a nice day![]()

Cool picSometimes you have to go big to get the job done, but in the case of a pocket knife it is not so.

Your garden must be a 9-5 job Jeff. Seems I always have a salad after your posts. Beautiful, and always tended with some great old knives.Same Eagle Jack, and Camillus 68 ~ hard to put these two away.
Okay, apologies in advance. Not trying to divert from the Totin theme, but i have some photos of the garden…
At least you know my knives are not safe queens.
First thing this morning, I took out the big jack, and chopped down the basil which was thriving in the sandy gravel by the front walk. Vik the Designer complained that talk stuff should be in back. It was time anyway, they would have begun to bolt soon. Hung up to dry…

So despite us eating tomatoes every day, they are now ripening en masse, and I cannot keep up. Some, like bushels full of cherry maters are getting shared.View attachment 2305714
It’s time to cook up and can a big batch of salsa.
